The location of the hotel is great and having sea facing rooms. The reception when we arrived and hotel room and restaurant on site was good.
The elevator did not work so unsuitable for one of my family even though they moved one of our rooms to first floor as there are no bedrooms on ground floor. We unfortunately had to leave hotel earlier than planned as not suitable for people with mobility issues when the old fashioned lift does not work.
The hotel was centrally situated and has a great view over the town and piers. It is very comfortable and well maintained, the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The lift was not working when we arrived but was fixed after two days. We were on the first floor so not a problem.
Brilliant location of a marvelous hotel! Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The hotel staff was unfailingly attentive and helpful.
Quaint and comfortable
There was nothing we didn’t like
Location
Our rooms were on the second and third floors the lift was not working and although all of us are over pensionable age nobody offered to help with carrying luggage.
Hotel was lovely great location.
Very good location on the port.
Welcoming staff.
Lift out of use
We had a big sea view room with a nice table in the bay window. Very clean, shower and ventilation in the bathroom working. Restaurant and bar are good, too.
Toilet flush had to be pushed strongly to work.
Molt bones vistes. Edifici amb encant, potser un poc vell
Res.
The look of the hotel from outside. The very friendly and charming lady at reception.
Lifts not working. Truly a big issue with my husband's sore knee for which he uses a walking stick. 3 flights of stairs. The mattresses are ancient and springs are broken.Need to be replaced. I had to pick up an earring which fell. Bases are never moved and vacuumed below. Just spiderwebs everywhere. Bar Rio on site: rude barman, high prices and rather walked to go and drink and eat elsewhere. ⅔
Location was good, rooms large. Showers were nice with plenty of hot water.
Heat was finicky, but not a big deal. Limited breakfast options, and pricey for what they had.
Love the character of this hotel and the friendly lady on reception who we recognised from last year. Great view from the bathroom window of snowy mountains on the Isle of Mull.
the lift was out of action at the time of our stay.
The breakfasts were well cooked and the staff friendly and helpful. The reception staff were extremely helpful on arrival. The room was clean and tidied daily. The hotel was situated centrally with easy access to amenities.
The hotel was only serviced by 1 lift which was out of order for the duration of the stay which made it very difficult for getting up to the room on the 2nd floor for my travelling companion.
The window in the room was stuck due to it being painted stuck and the ventilation in the room was not of the best.
If you are elderly or weak in your knees, request a downstairs room. There is an elevator that looks like it was not working for some time. The hotel was sold out and we could not be moved from 3rd floor. 74 large steps to do from lobby.
Gaurav was the hardest working manager I have ever seen. He was everywhere at all times. Thank you Gaurav.
Good location
The hotel room wasn’t clean. Dusty and curtains were filthy (black dirt or mould) Only one socket available to use. Shower barely worked. Mattress was so uncomfortable (sunken in middle) cracked tiles in bathroom. TV signal was awful.
Restaurant staff member was unhelpful when I asked them to accommodate my autistics son’s dietary needs. Receptionist also not helpful. Caused my son a lot of distress and he was unable to eat.
