Estupendo. Todo muy bien. Centrico, comodo.
Nada.
Staff good in restaurant. Breakfast only but catered for me needing gluten free options. Plenty of choice.
Pleasant stay just meeting up with friends from UK.
Car parking was a little difficult under the hotel opposite.
Had to drive past the park park and circle road to get to car park entrance.
Checking in/arriving
Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by lovely reception staff who got us checked in very quickly, we were given a room on the first floor which was our request and it was given which I liked about the hotel, two lifts in the hotel was super easy no faults, the reception staff didn't hesitate to help us with anything we needed and they were super friendly!
Our room
We had a beautiful big room with two smallish double beds which was clean and super comfortable, the room had our tea and coffee facilities with clean cups, a nice size tv with some English channels and a complimentary bottle of water, the room was beautifully designed and q lovley big room with a nice sized balcony overlooking the sister hotel the RH Victoria. The wardrobe size was good also with plenty of coat hangers and a free use of the safe. The toilet was lovely and clean with little amenities like dental kit soap etc and the shower was fantastic really big shower!
Breakfast
We had bed and breakfast with our package holiday and the breakfast didn't disappoint. Was nice to have a chef to cook you fresh eggs, omelettes, pancakes ect which was a nice touch. The sausages were delicious and mushrooms and our Scottish home favourite baked beans, fresh apple juice delicious with lots of other choices for drinks and a hot drinks station with hot chocolate and lots of choice!! The toast machine was also very quick! The dining room was very clean and spacious and just a beautiful little room.
My mums birthday trip ; it was my mums 60th birthday while staying in the hotel and it was a lovely surprise to see they gave her a birthday celebration at breakfast with two glasses of wine and a banner on the table. The waitresses came and sang happy birthday to her at the breakfast table with a birthday cake and candle to blow out , after breakfast we headed out for the day and on the return back to the hotel they put a banner on the bed with a balloon and a wee card with two birthday lolly pops! They truly went all out for my mums birthday and we couldn't thank them enough this was a lovely surprise!!!
The cleaners in the hotel were super lovely and friendly . Always came to clean for you if needed and didn't hesitate if you needed anything!
We rented a Mobility scooter for my mum to use and the hotels underground parking bit wasn't available so they let us park over in the sister hotel the RH Victoria there is charging stations outside the hotel but if you ask for key at reception you can also park inside the scooter but ( it's not under cover so it rained for a couple of days on our trip but was a good wee spot to park)
Overall such a lovely hotel . Definitely a 4/5 star ( it's 4 star) and would definitely stay here again and recommend!!!
Thank you rh royal xx
Just returned from the RH Royal.
Loved most things about the hotel, especially the lovely staff on reception & in the dining room. The cleaner was also efficient and mainly invisible, which is always good! Love the location of this hotel, in between old and new towns. We were right next to the Christmas market & ice rink which was handy, but the music started blasting out at 6pm each night, so just be aware.
The rooms are a little dated, but with that comes a homely feel, so it worked for us in winter with some cold nights, it was good to come back to at the end of the evening.
The only downside to the room was an absolutely rubbish shower. Over the bath and not much more than a dribble if you wanted it hot (which again in winter we did). However, I've seen room reviews from others who have had a walk in shower, so you may be able to request that, which may be better?
We had asked for a room with a sunny balcony on a high floor, and we were given floor 7 on the front corner, and so were happy with that.
The only other slight disappointment was that we had a 6pm pick up to return to the airport, and were told that there were no rooms at all available for a late check out - but we were able to keep our room till 1pm. At what is the quietest time of year in Benidorm, it seems a little strange that there were absolute no rooms available, but maybe it is a popular place in winter, as the clientele were definitely of the more mature nature. This perhaps added to the relaxing vibe of the hotel, which we enjoyed a lot. No one was rushing anywhere.
Overall, really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again, but would ask for a walk in shower.
Nice rooms, great location.
Breakfast could have been better...
I travelled with Jet2, and stayed there for a fortnight. I was given a room at the front of the hotel. On arrival, I heard loud music from the hotel opposite and a lot of traffic noise, so I went to the reception and asked for a quiet room, there were about four men there and they all said to me “you have to pay 350 € to upgrade”. Like an idiot, I agreed and paid the money. I was given a dark room at the back with two single beds put together. At 12.30am, I. could hear someone dropping like a bucket on the floor, and throwing something at the wall. At 8 am the cleaner made a lot of noise waking everybody up, so no chance of a lie in. Apparently the rooms at the front are quieter and brighter. The staff in the dining room were all very pleasant. The food was good, lots of salad, plenty of fresh fish every day, good breakfast, porridge, cereals, sausages, eggs, baked beans, fresh fruits, yogurt and a lot more. This was my second visit to the hotel. Will I return? Definitely not!
Ubicación, trato y comida
Poco espacio en el salón, tuvimos q estar de pie
Only problem really with the hotel was the lifts. There's only two small lifts and sometimes you could be waiting 5 mins outside the lift door.
