both elevators working!
We stayed at the club level and enjoyed the staff and amenities
Only one elevator was working and that proved to be a major imposition
This facility/brand has, since purchased by Marriott, become less comfortable, less upscale for the price point. Rooms are bland. Bathrooms..toilets almost on the floor so low. Low end soaps, and toilet tissue/kleenex rough. TV remote not working often and too tech interactive with no instructions.
See above. Also lamps are quirky and not easy to find switches. Rooms like a monestary and quite small. Robes only available at check-in. Wierd. Only one water...usually two.
I always love staying at this Westin. Friendly staff, cleans and quiet rooms, great restaurant.
Loved it all
Super easy parking too
Tabaith in the club lounge was excellent ....great customer service as a Titanium Member of Marriott this is exactly what I like to see and keeps me coming back to Westin properties ( All Club Lounge attendents were great and friendly during my stay)
I visit the Richmond area often and usually stay at the Marriott downtown or the one in Shortpump, but this time opted for this Westin. This is a very nice property, in decent shape, clean, well-maintained, and fairly decent service. My room was comfy and nicely maintained, everything worked fine too. They have a concierge lounge on the 7th floor, which I checked out the first night I was here and it wasn’t impressive at all. Lacked decent selection of snacks, having only a few bags of potato chips and nothing else. There was a lady sitting in there watching TV who I think was the bartender for their snack/bar hours. Aside from that and the mediocre service at the bar, I’d definitely return in the future.
Location was the only good thing.
Front desk was difficult and it was hard to check in all rooms at the same time. Status counts here. Status membership to Marriot a room was available at 1pm. None status membership check in was at 4pm. That room was actually not cleaned and we had to get a new room. Rooms are worn and somewhat clean (think quick sweep and not a deep clean). Beds decent but that’s it. Bathrooms outdated with low toilets and ancient bathtub showers. Not ADA compliant at all. Location is great but that’s it. Go to the Hilton we’re the rooms are clean and well maintained.
We have a 230 person dinner
Gerald Robinson and was great . He was apart of the staff and made sure we had everything that was needed
The ambience was just gorgeous
Nothing
We stayed in a lovely suite on the 7th floor where we had access to the concierge lounge, which we visited in the evening and again for breakfast in the morning. Hotel staff was very friendly. There’s a path around a pond adjoining the property which was a great place for walking our dogs. Room decor was nice, very clean and comfortable. The room included Westin White Tea bath products, which are some of the best hotel shampoos or soaps I’ve encountered in my travels. Nice place overall.
One of those hotels that look and advertise as luxe but actually has little to no amenities besides the heated pool and tvs with Youtube. Desk staff is extremely helpful and the hotel itself is a safe and clean environment. Rooms are basic hotel rooms, no microwaves and stains on carpet in some rooms. Housekeeping can be annoying, be warned they do come by knocking every two hours after 12pm checkout even with DND on the door, some don’t knock and will dang near try to break the door down to get in. Restaurant downstairs is very expensive for what it is and is always empty as expected. There are definitely other hotels in the area with better amenities and benefits, at a cheaper price point.
All good.
The open area by reception, with various seating facilities, was often used for small "meetings" (4-6 people), chatting, making phone calls etc.
Someone needs to oversee the noise level, as such was inconvenient for others sitting nearby. The reception staff should be able to do so!
Tabitha is the best. She runs the lounge and I have dietary restrictions and she looks after me in the very best way! Super grateful for her. Living on the road with dietary extras… made better by Tabitha going the extra mile!
