I had the great pleasure the first night of my stay to meet Nick, the night manager. He was very cordial and went out of his way to take care of any need. He reminded me of the hotel days when staff all wore suits and treated you with exceptional hospitality. I was fortunate to be able to talk with him for extended time. He spoke very highly of his co-workers and everyone I spoke with while there went out of their way to assist me. Nick should be a treasured asset to the hotel and each time I return toe Fort Myers I will stay at the Crowne Plaza!
The place was clean and they did not accept pets.
In January 26, our Fraternal Organization held its installation of Officers for 2026. The location chosen was the Crowne Plaza Ft. Myers Gulf Coast by ihg. From the first phone call to start the process of utilizing the ballroom, until the last guest left from the ceremony, the experience was excellent. Our point of contact for the event was
Stefanie, Director of Conference & Catering. From day one, Stefanie led us through the process with patience and a caring understanding of our request, all while showing her experience and professionalism. The entire staff we encountered were extremely helpful and professional.
Great experience! I am part of the Aim team and this was my first time coming down to Florida for our annual sales meeting. They exceeded my expectations of the whole event!! Stefanie and Kevin were so kind and accommodating, Annie, Karen, and the entire staff was wonderful. Highly recommend!!
We’ve hosted an annual business conference here for years, and somehow it gets better and better each year. Better food. Better service. Better rooms. Better everything. I feel like every year I’m surprised by how many improvements have been made even though everything was already great. Plus, the entire staff is amazing, especially Stefanie and Kevin. I truly love staying here.
Some renovations have improved this previously run-down hotel. Now, just the staff and management need an upgrade. Huge attitude at check-in, unpleasant rooms and low-quality dining. Yes it is an airport hotel, but does it have to be this bad? Both the Hilton and Marriott around the corner trump this cheaply renovated establishment. It will take more than a lick of paint and particle-board furniture to make this a contender on any level.
The staff was very professional and welcoming
I didnt like the housekeeping we to ask to get new towels and no one came to get the trash out of our room or came in to clean it.
Property was very nice, room was clean, beds were comfortable. Front desk staff was very friendly and even got us in our room early.
The pool area is shaded.
Checkin was smooth, however busy. There are many flight crews that stay there, so, might have a wait to checkin. Room was okay, could have been cleaner. Bed was comfy, enough plugins for the tech. Restaurant was good, Bar tender was lovely & very helpful. The shuttle was awesome! Had to leave at 3:00 am and they were johnny on the spot! Shuttle runs 24x7 and that is one of the main reasons i chose this place! I shall return when back in the area!
Rona on front desk staff was outstanding. Her professional style and kindness was obvious. She cares about her guests and is dedicated to her employer. She was handling 12 people at her desk with ease and grace. Thank you Rona.
I had an outstanding experience at this hotel from start to finish. Nick was very attentive, and genuinely committed to making my stay comfortable. Check-in was smooth and quick, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spotless and well-designed my room was. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the small touches—like quality toiletries, soft linens, and thoughtful room amenities.
TL;DR - Great staff, excellent location, unbeatable value for the quality; first time staying, will be a longtime return guest in the future. One of the best stays I've had at an IHG property. Shoutouts to Derrick, Chase, Annie, Stef, Kevin, Kian, Bill, and all the staff that made our stay truly memorable.
The Details:
- IHG's recent $7M investment upgrading this location really shows - came down for a Halloween weekend with the family and had an incredible time. Attentive and proactive staff, great rooms, and unbeatable rate-to-quality ratios for the area.
- Proximity to the airport is huge, especially considering the complimentary 24/7 shuttle that will not only take you to and from the airport, but also neighboring amenities like the Gulf Coast shopping center.
- Can't say enough about the team CPFM's Brian Holly has assembled, they truly made what would have been a pleasant experience one that was quite memorable.
Specific Staff Shout Outs:
- Derrick Riehm's (Dir. Room) tenure with this location shows, easily managing the daily goings-on while being available to directly help us with questions and going so far as to personally help resolve a minor points mix up (resulting from the recent IHG-JPMC partnership). Our rooms were very well maintained and spotless upon arrival, with excellent room service.
- Chase Hagen (Asst. Mgr?) was a huge part of our experience being so enjoyable; our room developed a leak on the first day and he immediately upgraded us to a king corner suite with a great view and provided comp'd breakfast for our entire stay without us asking. He also took the time to shuttle us to a location during a particularly busy point in the day where other drivers were assisting guests. You can easily see where Chase's customer-first approach to his early days with Fairmont, IHG is lucky to have poached him over from Accor.
- Annie (?) looked after us each day at breakfast, remembered our coffee preferences each day and always had it at the ready when we came down. She also had a 10/10 Hello Kitty halloween shirt for (all the staff had great costumes or outfits on Halloween Night) that made for a great time. She had the entire breakfast crowd handled brilliantly each day and showed the same level of care for every guest.
- Kian was our bartender and server the first night, and he took special attention to check our individual dishes with the kitchen to confirm none of the ingredients would trigger food allergies, and thoughtfully made sure to avoid any spirits that would have been distilled with allergens in the mash. He also proactively managed a particularly boisterous group of bar guests quite professionally, making sure to keep an eye on them (and their water levels), balancing their fun with the rest of the guests' experience.
- Kevin Rebhan (Dir. F&B) runs an incredible bar program, and the food here was absolutely incredible. We were fortunate enough to have him behind the bar Halloween night after we came back to wrap the night, with both him and Stef stepping up to cover Oasis so the majority of Oasis staff could enjoy the evening off. Great conversation, great drinks, and great food options.
- Stefanie Rebhan (Director Conference & Catering) was an absolute pleasure and took care of us as de-facto server on Halloween night as well. She was a great conversationalist as well, really enjoyable swapping stories after a night of taking the little ones out trick or treating.
- To Chef and the kitchen staff, huge kudos. I can't say I've ever been impressed by a breakfast spread - CPFM's really impressed. Well prepared buffet, excellent a la carte, and the fresh cut fruit (often overlooked at chains) really stood out. The inclusion of dragonfruit, cut and presented within the pitaya, is perhaps the best example of the small and thoughtful touches this location has gone out of its way to provide. Entrees, salads, and really great french fries will keep us coming back to Oasis.
- Last but not least, shuttle crews were awesome. Bill was one of our shuttle drivers and a recent addition to the CPFM team. Great conversationalist, had a fun time chatting all things Chicago and golf. Our other drivers were also fantastic, we forgot to get their names but truly great folks all around.
Week long business trip was made even more pleasant with a stay at the Crowne Plaza. I would like to thank Nick and Tom especially for ensuring my timely and swift departure!
