Warm welcome, clean rooms, great location.
Pros:

The welcome is warm. The location is excellent. And i appreciate the Holiday Inn room set up (ironing board as standard, bottles of water, fair trade products, windows that open).

Pros:

Location was excellent, the front desk staff were great, and the castle park view was nice.

Cons:

The condition of the room was disappointing. Needs painting, one light didn't work, no USB plugs, and there was broken baseboard. That sharp corner right next to the bed is an accident waiting to happen.

I would stay again
Pros:

Large room and plenty of parking at rear of hotel overlooking the Principality stadium at a cost. Location was excellent as Cardiff castle was across the road. Also the river taxi was across the road in the park. Impressed with the city centre.Good bar and bar meals although a little pricy but you pay for the location. Pint of Stella £6.80. Price of food was reasonable.Staff were friendly as you would expect in South Wales

Gutes Hotel in sehr guter lage
Pros:

Das Frühstück war ganz ok, aber entsprach nicht ganz den Erwartungen an eine internationale Hotelkette. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, das Cardiff Castel ist in unmittelbarer Nähe, ebenso wie zahlreiche Lokale und Geschäfte.

Cons:

Das Hotel verfügt über einen gebührenpflichtigen Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe. Leider scheiterte die Bezahlung mit der erforderlichen App trotz Hinweis, dass es funktioniert hat. Trauriger Umstand: 100 Pfund Strafgebühr, die wir nach unserem Aufenthalt von der Autovermietung übermittelt bekamen. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts, ein Hinweis auf die Parkmodalitäten könnten aber vorab besser ersichtlich gemacht werden (Homepage, Info im Bereich der Lobby etc.).

Ideal place for a stopover as close to daughter’s digs. Convenient for the Royal Welsh College, castle grounds and town

Location good and always friendly staff. Complementary bottle water was great.
Goor bar area.

Cons:

Getting quite dated. Also, the fixed shower is not great if you are not planning on washing your hair and don’t have a shower cap!

Pros:

Fantastic location with a view overlooking the park. An excellent breakfast.

Cons:

The bed was a standard double which was much too small fir me and my husband. I had a very poor night sleep. The shower was a stand in bath with shower curtain. Very old fashioned.
