It was close to OSU campus.

The second floor smelled strongly of marijuana, the room had a faint sour smell.

Overall, this hotel was a great price, clean and comfortable.
Pros:

Some of the food was a little cold but the staff worked hard to replenish. The stations were clean as was the dining room.

Cons:

I noticed the back of the bathroom door needed a cleaning and wipe down.

There to visit the University. Most likely not staying again.

Cons:

Paid breakfast and it was said made it was made fresh. Bacon was cold, coffee not hot. The breakfast is the same you get at a Hilton which is included with room.

There was no water and I didn’t receive any communication prior to our stay that there was no water. We weren’t able to shower or flush the toilets.

Generally ok with a few downsides
Pros:

This hotel is a short drive from campus and downtown. It's next to another hotel and a Walmart but overall quiet without traffic noise. Check-in was efficient. There's a large sign saying breakfast buffet was 12.95 which was a bit of a surprise since HIE properties always seem to include free breakfast (while the original HI have restaurants with menus). Options include an OnCue gas station with a grill across the street, Walmart, or a short drive to Sonic or Braum's (and further down the typical fast food places).

I was in a suite which included a front sitting area with a TV, bathroom and fridge/micro in the middle, and bedroom with another TV in the back. A design flaw is that the thermostat is in the front room while the HVAC unit is in the back. So adjusting the heat or A/C means a noisy blast of hot or cold air next to the bed instead of where you want it in the front area.

The bathroom was fine with a good shower head and water pressure. Towels were small and thin. Housekeeping was nonexistent my first 3 nights. On the 4th night the used towels were replaced. The Dove products in pump bottles are quite good but not as convenient as bar soap on the sink.

The fitness area had a mirror wall which had been broken. Common sense would say to cover it with plywood or at least cardboard until it got fixed. Leaving broken glass exposed is not safe.

I've stayed in 2 other nearby hotels the last few years. I won't return to HIE but it's still a good choice if you don't want free breakfast and don't care about the room temp controls.

Pros:

Honestly, everything was great! For the price I wasn’t expecting it to be so perfect. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, updated, plenty of natural light. The staff was the friendliest I have come across in a very long time. The breakfast was also very impressive. We will be back!!
