Go somewhere else. This isnt a good location. The front desk staff is rude and unprofessional. The building isnt being maintained. Ac was leaking with water all over the floor which they made my sister stay in with just a "sorry". The key cards and elevator werent working which resulted in us having to go down multiple times.
Toilet didn’t work when I checked in. Took an hour to fix it. Desk lamp not working. Bed frame ripped. Stain on duvet. Room was not serviced once in four nights after requesting it daily. Front desk not answering phone. Had to go downstairs to get toilet paper, coffee and trash bags. Key stopped working on second day. Lights kept going out in the whole room every night around 10pm for about 5 mins. Had to leave my trash and dirty towels outside in the hallway for them to be removed. Only one elevator working the whole 4 night stay. Last morning the cold tap would not run cold just hot water. No AC in the hotel lobby or common areas. Had big fans running. The manager blamed it all on the previous manager. Offered me no compensation so had to ask for some points. Still not received them. As a globalist I expect much better service. Will not be staying there again and recommend that you don’t either. Very poor experience.
Love everything about our stay except for breakfast, food was cold and unappealing but would stay again because of the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms
Front desk staff was very rude and not willing to help. The younger Mexican lady was extremely rude and the older white lady was very polite and very willing to help me.
We chose to stay here rather than in downtown Grand Rapids after a day spent at Meijer Gardens & the Chihuly exhibit. It turned out to be an excellent move. Quieter area, free parking, good breakfast & handy location for our trip to Saugatuck the next day. Would definitely stay here again. The room is clean, beds are comfortable & breakfast was decent.
Great place to stay. Staff is very friendly and willing to assist when needed. Breakfast is one of the better ones I have had in a hotel. Would like sandwiches but still good.
Wow, has this hotel gone downhill. We've stayed here for years- previously when we came from out of town over 10 years ago on family vacations. It was really a topline suite hotel for those trips. This last weekend we came for an anniversary getaway and it was terrible. Front desk team seems brand new, really poorly dressed, and spoke so quietly I could barely hear him. He seemed really shy and introverted for a first impression. No energy, no warmth. Later, that desk would be left unattended several times when I came to get a water. Food and drink shop was beat up, not much to choose from. Wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Coffee in the morning ran out and there were several urns. This hotel is aging poorly and needs some love, and definitely a warmer, more engaged staff. Not sure what has happened, but we likely won't return. A shiny new Fairfield is now next door.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Despite being a returning guest, I will not be staying at your establishment again due to a serious issue involving the theft of my property.
Over $100 worth of my purchases were taken from my room. When I called to report this, I was informed that the items were not found. This is deeply concerning and suggests a lack of honesty and security regarding the cleaning staff.
As a repeat customer, I expected much better service and security. I hope you will take this matter seriously and investigate the situation.
I drove out of my way to stay here again. I won’t be doing that in the future. Full-sized sofa bed-only flat king-sized sheets provided for it. The pillows are 1/2 the size of a standard pillow. The only shower head was a handheld one and while I usually appreciate good water pressure, this shower head felt like a sand blaster. The accommodations weren’t terrible, but less than I expected.
No hot water in the shower for 3 days and little to no water pressure in the shower. While reporting the issue 2 other people reported same issue to front desk at same time regarding rooms on different floors. Reported to the hotel front desk on 3 occasions. When returned on 2nd night the clerk stated maintenance leaves at 6 so nothing they can do. Also was informed could check out with early as long as we’re out by 3 by assistant manager and she would waive the $50 fee because we’ve had a poor experience. We informed her that getting back by 3 would be difficult and she looked at the other staff and confirmed that 4pm would be okay and she would approve because we already had the room booked for the evening so no guest were expected to check in that evening. After calling back later questioning why the account had been charged and the updated invoice that the assistant manager stated she would send, the staff could not find my reservation and stated had no record of my stay or I had been in the 2 rooms I had rented. She placed me on hold for the GM which stated that the assistant manager lied and made false accusations about our departure. GM stated that we would be responsible for the night in both rooms and charged my card although we had checked out and were an hour down the road. We would’ve checked out that morning at 9am and took a chance on finding a room at another hotel had the assistant manager not made that statement. We have timestamps of tracking system. Completely unacceptable and will never stay at another Hyatt due to the poor service and rude behavior of property management.
Always stay here when in the area even if I need to drive 30 minutes. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is always courteous and a good breakfast to start the day!
Great hotel and location to Grand Rapids. Our room was very clean, and plenty of space to move around and relax while not sleeping. I would stay here again with no concern.
The management is very poor. There was only one person working Friday night at the front desk. The onsite restaurant was not open in the evenings. For 300$ plus a night I would recommend staying elsewhere.
Thus is a great location near the highway, including major shopping center and restaurant.
The rooms were cleaned the entire hotel was very inviting.
Every staff member we met went out of their way to assist and added to enjoyable weekend visit.
We definitely thought this location was a better value and the cleanliness of the hotel, dining area and rooms were above average. Then the Hyatt Place located downtown Grand Rapids.
Location was nice but the room had a few repairs needed. Breakfast bar was limited with empty dishes. Pool water was cold.
We have stayed here several times and it is very clean, the rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly. It is very well situated because you can go to Gun Lake Casino or use it as a halfway point to get UpNorth.
They had us down for a no show. I checked in got 2 keys. Next I'm at a funeral I get a call saying I'm a no show. Said I checked in got 2 keys. I was worried about my room so left the family earlier than we wanted to but we were worried. My husband is 85 and has a terrible back. We get to the 3rd floor go to our that is at the end of the hall. Can't get in our room. We had bottles of water with us and a bag of groceries. So my husband stayed by the room. While I went and got keys.
His back was really hurting him and he couldn't sit. I think I should be compensated some how. They would not call me back. No one. So I called the main busy office. Waiting to hear from them.
This place ruined our trip and after countless phone calls being kind to them and giving them grace they still
Refuse to contact me back. Bad morals… bad business bad hotel. Don’t recommend.
We always stay here! We love it! The rooms are amazing. The breakfast buffet is outstanding The staff is helpful & friendly.
It was clean but had no phone in my room and there was nothing to properly clean workout equipment. The breakfast was also really good.
