Hi. Sunday morning at breakfast. We went down for breakfast at 9.50 am. There was a queue. Lady took our room number after 5 mins. I came back up to the same lady at 10.30 as our room number was not called out. The lady looked at her sheet with a bit of surprise on her face to say we are next. There was loads of spare seats at this stage and I knew then that we had been forgotten about. There was not a whole lot left to eat at this stage. I don't think I will stay there again because of that.

Family trip to Kilkenny
Pros:

My wife and I recently stayed at the Kilkenny River Court Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. The location couldn’t be better — right along the river and just a short walk to everything in the city center, including the castle, shops, and great pubs.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. Our room was well-kept, quiet, and made for a relaxing stay after a full day exploring Kilkenny.

What really made our visit stand out, though, was a staff member named Owen. He was incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. He took the time to answer our questions, offered great local recommendations, and made sure we felt taken care of throughout our stay. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and his positive attitude made a big impression on us.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Kilkenny River Court Hotel to anyone visiting Kilkenny. Great location, great atmosphere, and outstanding service

Disappointed in room
Pros:

Dissatisfied Room 149 is only suitable for a single occupancy. The room is small. The shower access is over the bath. No 👎. It feels crowded with two people in the room despite having a large bed. We have no where to sit only across the room. Not suitable for a couple!

Pros:

Only fault I have is we stayed in room 47 and I was awoken at 3:30 am to what sounded like 3 females next door and were talking and arguing till I went for breakfast. I will go back but not to that wing of hotel.

Pros:

Hotel is lovely, fab location, great staff, good food & lovely atmosphere. Walking distance to everything & fabulous setting overlooking the river.

Great apartment, would go back for sure, and recommend to others.
Pros:

Great location on the river and fantastic view of the castle. Parking was easy onsite. Great food in the bar and an excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Very comfortable room.
