Nice countryside location,‘friendly staff,
Great breakfast, very comfortable bed, loads of free parking, there for a wedding reception which it was perfect for.
Room 310 suite nice size and decor. Let down by no facility lighting for getting ready, bathroom mirror light not working. Shower was awful, head didn’t stay up, when it flopped it boiled the electric shower water at you, shower door swung in on you constantly so water went all over the floor and one side of the shower was a window so the water ran down the blind and bounced off the window ledge. We managed with a sense of humour but it could be unworkable for some. Other peoples showers were good though, just our room. For that reason alone our stay was overpriced. Thats suite 310 only though, suite next door was not like that
Stayed before. Lovely place
Room was cold. No way to turn heating on. There was a wedding on right next to my room and the music was loud.
Clean room and comfy bed.
Reception staff were not friendly or helpful.
Breakfast was the worst I've ever had in a hotel.
Pros - comfy bed
- fast check in
Cons - food is terrible, we had a buffet dinner Saturday night where nothing matched. It was very very poor quality as well.
Breakfast was equally as awful and not enough choice. Cheapest bread going.
Expensive drinks - take your own and have in your room.
Clean tidy and a big bed. Parking wa easy
Nothing it was ideal. Stayed after a wedding at the hall nearby the receptionist was really friendly she was there at 10 pm when we checked in and again a 8 when we checked out. Lovely lady who was so helpful and friendly a real credit.
Location for a wedding we were attending.
Cost of the drinks were expensive. Bathroom very dated and small.
Really good size suite which I thought was good value for money, the room was clean enough but not immaculate, in a nice location too
Beautiful property, little bit of TLC needed but it’s winter so could be planned.
Some info in guides were wrong regarding taxis and food opening times. If at an event at main hotel you will struggle for late night (10pm) taxi back from Hall to a park despite what the guide says. Taxis aren’t local so will be an issue.
As for staff, 1 bar staff said a bar was closed as we couldn’t get food but went over to open another bar with food. Just say this is closed but that one is opening in 5 minutes. Was moody and said ‘Its not my problem’ but after speaking to us for a while became more engaging land was nice. Poor first impression though.
These 2 issues were a shame as it’s such a nice place otherwise.
It was close to the wedding venue
Nothing
Breakfast was a buffet style where you could help yourself food was excellent staff were very friendly and helpful would recomend this hotel to anyone
Bedroom was a bit to warm for us but other than that we look forward to staying there again
Meget fint
All meals were absolutely delicious
Enjoyed everything
Rooms could be a little more modern. Curtains weren’t hung properly and looked a bit messy.
The staff were absolutley brilliant - I actually felt like I knew them. They checked in that we were all ok. Totally brilliant. Food was also excellent - top marks and we will be back.
