Staff very helpful in seating us in a dog friendly area, but still waiting on us as if we had sat in the restaurant. Very helpful. Reception friendly and helpful for all our questions.
Room was fine, but would have been helpful to have info. On times of evening meal and breakfast in the room. Just a little more info to save having to keep asking reception.
The room was excellent, staff were helpful and friendly, food was good. The shower pump wasn't working but staff very apologetic.
The only real issue was the breakfast was excessively expensive for utter rubbish. It was an absolute rip off
All good
room was fresh clean and tidy
the hotel was full unfortunately we were placed in the outside annex open to the elements, it was raining on arrival slipped and cut my shin on the outside metal stairs leading up to the room, dropped our party clothes in the rain, just one of those things I guess, the staff were very apologetic., offering first aid assistance.
Everything was perfect, the staff were lovely and always helpfull, the food was top notch and the refreshments were very resonable.the room was spacious very clean and very comfortable and stunning views and a great breakfast to boot
Nothing we realy enjoyed our stay
The breakfast was good. The first morning was self service for evety thing, but the second day, when there were less guests hot food was brought to one's table.
There was no lift and there were stairs both up and down to my room. I had not specified that I am 81, walk slowly and somewhat unsteadily with a stick, but this did make getting to and from my room less than comfortable.
This is a nice, simple hotel, with clean rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast was buffet style but of a really good quality; all items were hot and fresh. If you are in the area or at a wedding at Hawkstone Hall (like I was), then stay here. It's really good value.
No night porter around, as stated their would be, so I had to find my own key on the reception desk as I checked in late. Luckily, I checked in online first so it was ready for me.
I stayed here the night before my wedding with a few guests and friends and it was everything we could have hoped for. We booked a meal for a large party and the staff accommodated us and made it as easy as possible for us. My groomsmen and i also played golf the day we stayed and the course was immaculate and facilities all spot on.

The staff were so very friendly and efficient. Very helpful
staff were friendly, good location for us, plenty of parking
place was cold, decor in miserable shades of grey, poor choice at breakfast and dinner - was really expecting a bit more than burger/pizza/pie and chips. only on second day were we told we could order from another, slightly more appetising menu - and that there was wine available. dining room huge, freezing and unwelcoming.
Location, size of room
Shower hose and rail need replaced
The hotel itself was good and the room was big enough with a fair sized bathroom. The room was adequately stocked with tea and coffee with the bathroom having enough towels and soap.
We were part of a bigger wedding party. Guest arrived before check in time so asked whether they could leave their luggage in a locked room, the reception staff said there was no such room available and seemed to be totally unwilling to help.
Rooms were spacious and super comfy bed
Bathroom was nice n toasty even through the night
We were booked in here because of a wedding at Hawkstone hall. Despite booking.com advising to let hotel know of arrival time for smooth check-in, we were unable to check- in until late at night because rooms not ready and no luggage room? Although the hotel is supposed to have over 70 rooms, apparently none were available for us to check in at 12pm. The really annoying g thing was we saw about 6 people both days and the car park was empty?
