Wonderful stay, great staff, awsome stay overall.
Pros:

We loved out bartender/restaurant attend was excellent. Sadly Ibhave forgot her name but she was wondering. My husband loved the old fashion she made and she made me some rum drinks that rocked. She was fun, talkative and made great food. Housekeeping was awsome as well, can't say enough about thier service.

Dishonest and lack of transparency
Pros:

I have been a Bonvoy member for more years than I can remember - probably 25+ years, many of them being gold. I’ve noticed Marriott quality slipping recently but this trip is the final straw and one that is making me change my loyalty. I booked this hotel on points for a dance competition - that was later shortened. (Point value 23k a night). When I called to modify the reservation it was done quickly and easily. So I thought. It seems they are still charging me for the entire stay of 46k points, which the front desk first told me oh it was a mistake and would return upon checkout, and then changed to oh the rates have changed and that’s taxes and fees because we’re fully booked. So now I’m being charged double for one night (see attached picture). The point value for a courtyard Marriott is utterly ridiculous and deceptive. If they were going to charge me for two nights despite the modification to one night due to “current rates” then at least have the decency to tell me during modification so I can make a different decision. I plan on wiping out my Marriott points this year and switching to a different brand. There are better chains, with more honest and transparent programs, and better service than saying oh it’s just fees and taxes, really? Fees and taxes equate to double the value of one night?

They could do much better.
Pros:

Comfortable bed and clean room

Cons:

They failed to shovel the snow from the walkway even though it was 3 days after the storm, and staff had a lackadaisical attitude about it. The alarm had been set by a previous person and there was no way to tell that before it woke me at 5:41 am. If you take a bath instead of a shower the shampoo and body wash are way out of reach.

Simple and comfortable, was good for the purpose of my visit.
Pros:

Nice room, rate wasn’t too terrible, easy to find my room. 24 hour Starbucks inside hotel. Plenty of pillows and nice size room and bathroom.

Cons:

Check in was confusing and the person who checked me out said the way the person checked me in wasn’t normally how they did things. But overall everything worked out okay. The fridge could be a little bigger. Still waiting on the initial charge for incidentals to be refunded at the moment.
