I am going to start out saying that my family has been doing birthday parties here since the 80's, we even had my cousin's birthday party a couple of months ago, and NEVER had a problem before! I had my first birthday party here and while my party was getting ready to start we had an the manager come up to me and tell me that I needed to take down some of my decorations because they didn't like having to many decorations up and to take away the balloons (which they gave us a good reason for that). And she told us that they didn't like us bring in outside food into their hotel without consulting them first (which by the way their restaurant was closed at that time and wouldn't open until 5pm). They told me they will let this go this once, but they don't want us to do this again! I tried to explain that we have been doing this for decades and never had a problem before so I wanted to know what changed and she couldn't give me a valid reason. It was the middle od the day and NO ONE was at the hotel except a few other guest so we were not causing a big disturbance. Also they made me turn off our music which also wasn't very loud but they had no problem with the other guest doing it. We also saw other guest being in outside food like we did and we went up and asked them if management went up and told them that they were not allowed to do that either. They said no one had said anything to them about their food. This will be the last time we will ever come to do birthdays in this hotel and I feel my family will follow along with me! They lost lot of money!

We would try this hotel again. The staff was phenomenal and accommodating. The arcade was nice and pool area was great!
Pros:

The property and landscaping were beautiful.
Very comfortable accommodations.

Cons:

The room was comfortable, there were lots of spiderwebs throughout; to include me having to get rid of one very large one. The awful smell of sewer gas was almost unbearable but we only had to stay there two nights.

Everything was excellent except our room was in the older part of the building and even enough we had the air conditioning on full blast, it never could get our room as cool as we wanted. However it was extremely hot outside so I’m sure the air conditioning was doing all it could. Everything else was excellent as always. We have stayed here several times in the past and always have been very pleased.
I will add that we did have dinner to go out of the hotel restaurant and was very impressed with how delicious it was. We both got the ribeye steaks with sides. It was cooked exactly as requested, was seasoned, tender, and well priced. We will definitely be revisiting the restaurant and hotel on our next visit!

Pros:

Everything went well, the food was good and the place was clean. My only disappointment was how crowded the hot tub was with little children. I think one of the hot tubs should be only for adults and the other one for children.

Pros:

The pool, the breakfast, the staff, and how close it was to six flags.

Cons:

After experiencing a child laughter and running on the hall by the sliding glass the pool near my room I researched the property to find out it was haunted. Kinda eerie.
