Very nice facility.
Bed was comfy, nice staff. But the sick was dirty due to the water coming back up the drain, and the air conditioning unit in the room didn’t work at all.
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT JUST TOOK FOREVER TO CHECK IN. STAFF WAS NICE, HOTEL WAS CLEAN, AND THE BREAKFAST WAS SUPER GOOD!
Nice place. Not all the jets worked in the hot tub in my room. Breakfast was boring and bland foods. None the less still a nice place, i would go back
The Hampton inn in Durant is the worst Hampton Inn ever. The bathroom needs a serious cleaning or remodeling. There was mold in the shower caulking, no lounge chair in the room, only a dining room chair, desk chair and bench. The breakfast was not up to Hampton Inn standards. The hard boiled eggs were old and leathery, there were no scrambled eggs or yogurt available.
This location is convenient to the Choctaw casino the price was escalated given the event at the casino because the hotel did not warrant it. It is old dirty and tired. Halle works excessive hours. There was not a time all weekend that she was not working.
I was very upset the room I booked 6/19 6 months ago was given to someone else. They overbooked 9 rooms. I called at 3pm to confirm room and arrived at 5 and was told my room was in Atoka, Ok 34 miles away. Very disappointed ☹️. We had a 8 pm concert so had to change in their bathroom.
We made our reservations at this Hampton 7 months ago to go see Blake Shelton at the Choctaw Casino. We chose it for a number of reasons, we have stayed at Hampton’s before (we travel a lot) and haven’t had any issues, it was less than a mile from the casino so we could shuttle to it or Uber/Lyft so we could drink and not drive at night. We are in our mid-60’s both with beginning cataracts and really don’t like to drive at night. We went to check in at 5:30 in the afternoon and were told “Hilton overbooks, sorry”. So I guess we had to try to check in at 3 to get our room? So the best they could do was a Holiday Inn Express 30 minutes away. I said it better be free and she told me it would be. So we rushed there just to make sure we had a room, told the guy at Holiday inn the situation, he had never heard of such a thing and couldn’t believe they couldn’t find us a closer room, we passed three other Hampton’s on the way to the Holiday Inn! So we got a “comp” room, main floor, next to the mechanical room, across from the ice machine and next door to a meeting room with a birthday party complete with a mechanical bull and bouncy house. I’m not making this up. So we dumped our stuff, went to the Casino, it is now dark. So it also added another 120 miles to our trip since it was to the south and we were driving from the north. If they were going to bump us they could at least bump us to something better. I have never heard of such a thing, I have put it on Facebook, Instagram and now TripAdvisor.
Someone needs to make this right. I am also a Hilton Honors member as well as a Marriott Bonvoy and RCI timeshare owner. I will not use Hilton/Hampton again and we’re telling this story to as many people as possible. We are also not the only people who were bumped so I’m guessing they will hear from others. But, since “overbooking” was listed on the dropdown menu I’m guessing this must happen a lot. I booked through AAA travel so maybe that was part of the issue, so I guess I have to book direct through the hotel. I shouldn’t have to, a booking is a booking!
Reservation made in June and confirmed. Upon arrival, 5:30 pm, informed they overbook and ignore reservations. They found us a room at Holiday Inn 30 miles the wrong direction resulting in having to drive additional 120 miles during our stay. Attending a concert at Choctaw planned on using the shuttle that this Hampton provides. Of course we were very upset. Said our room at the Holiday Inn 30 miles away would be free. Upon arrival they laughed about it being free. Phone calls made and the room was free. We got a room next to event room were small children were having a loud party, with laundry room next door and ice machine just outside our room. Person at Holiday Inn agreed something like this should never happen. Obviously other motels/hotels much closer had vacancies. However, person at Hampton said no. Obviously lied about that. I’m 65 and have the start of cataracts and try to avoid driving at night when I can. Booked a stay at this Hampton because we could take the shuttle at night. Forced to drive 90 miles in the dark. This was not a case isolated only to us. We never said or did anything to upset anyone until they informed us of “their arrangements “ regarding our stay. They were doing the exact same thing to other people, with reservations, checking in at the same time. Also all very upset. Horrible way to treat loyal customers. Travel all over the country for years and I have never been treated this poorly. Disgusting and despicable to say it politely.
Hampton properties are alway very clean friendly and I love the bedding
It was close to Choctaw. The pillows were horrible, flat no stuffing. Manger was so polite and upbeat, loved her ability to handle alot of folks checking in at once.
Great! Friendly, helpful staff
We have stayed at Hampton Inn’s many times and this place was the worst experience we have had. Lack of towels, lack of hangers, missing hair dryer, elevators that were not working correctly, lack of hot water in shower, house keeping failed to clean our room & when front desk was notified we were told housekeeping left for day. No one offered or asked if we needed anything, such clean towels.
Ok stay , staff was just ok, they were very busy close to Choctaw casino
Every thing was nice even the breakfast you can make your own smoothie which my daughter loved. And the shuttle was nice runs 24 hrs so you go to the casino anytime. The front desk was excellent she would ask is there any thing you need.
My sister and I had to make this trip to our uncle's funeral at the last minute. We drove from MO to TX and back again. This hotel was like a breath of fresh air. The evening staff was very nice and helpful when we checked in. It was late and we were very tired. She suggested close by restaurants and gave us bottled water. She offered to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delightful and fresh. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was well worth the money!
Rooms are huge. Folks that work there were very friendly
Staff was very Friendly...bed was terrible...hard as a rock
Stayed here for a concert. Hotel worked out very well. Bed could of been a tad better. But I like soft beds. Plenty of restaurants within a couple of miles and short drive to the casino or take the shuttle
