Extremely poor internet connection, you have to stay near the window to even hope to get a signal. It feels like being back in the last century.
The hotel has a pompous colonial-style entrance, but unfortunately, you don’t live in the entrance… The room does not meet our expectations at all, it is outdated, poorly maintained, and the bathroom is even worse. The towels are so worn out that they have turned a dirty white color.
The lack of mosquito screens on the windows allows mosquitoes to get in, making the stay even more unpleasant.
Unsecured parking in a dilapidated courtyard, with homeless people nearby.
There are very few tourists, which is not surprising given that the hotel is expensive for the level of service provided. In addition, it is quite far from the city center.
In Mérida, there are much better options: more central hotels at lower prices.
Avoid!
que solicite factura y sigue sin llegar
We had a two-bedroom suite, which was two hotel rooms with separate entrances and an interconnecting door. In the middle was a space-wasting little bar area, that I suspect no one in the last two decades has used for anything other than dumping their stuff on the table as they come in.
Beds were comfortable, air conditioning effective, water pressure good. We didn't eat any meals there. There was a small, pleasant pool. Parking was right next to the hotel in a potholed lot without shade.
This comes across as a formerly grand old hotel that has gotten a bit tired. Don't expect slick or flashy. We aren't bothered by that sort of thing, so it was fine for us. The location is good for exploring central Merida, and is central enough that you can go back for a short rest here and there without feeling like you're wasting a lot of extra time walking in the heat to get there.
The guy at reception made some very valuable recommendations to us about Campeche, our next stop, as we checked out.
Facilities are tired.
A nice building maybe in need of some TLC but good location and rooms although dated were clean . Great jazz bar serving food called bird across the road and it’s a nice short stroll to the square
You can hear every toilet flush and AC machine in rooms beside you
