Staff friendly and helpful. Room 217 couldn't put radiator on as water immediately leaked out but staff sent up a heater when informed.

I had a really lovely stay at Holiday Inn Leeds-Wakefield M1 Jct40, but what truly made the experience special was the breakfast service.
As someone who is gluten-free and lactose intolerant, eating away from home can sometimes be stressful. However, the breakfast chef went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and well looked after. A beautiful selection of gluten-free options was prepared especially for me, including bread, croissants and muffins, along with a variety of alternative milks. Everything was ready and thoughtfully arranged, which made such a difference.
The chef was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in with guests and making sure everyone was happy with their food. Her warmth created a real home-from-home feeling. The restaurant itself felt cosy and calm, and the lady at the entrance was equally friendly.
Breakfast was delicious, peaceful, and honestly one of the nicest hotel breakfast experiences I’ve had. Thank you to the team for such genuine hospitality — it really made my stay memorable.

Bed needs new mattress and was a small double,
Wasn’t told that accessible room was down flight of stairs with a wheelchair lift. Lift was left at top of stairs and I couldn’t reach the handset.
Noise after 11pm from disco was obtrusive

Good location we went to the rhubarb festival. Clean and tidy comfortable bed shower very hot. Room was very warm had to put cold air conditioning on 🤣🤣🤣. Would definitely recommend and we would stay again xxx

Facilities looks run down, when ur in restaurant if you need a toilets was disgusting toilet payper roll was too big and not work and tissues all over the floor by the toilet door, got a coffee cut was so much stained on it
The staff especially at the bar and breakfast went above and beyond . Check in was seamless and everyone was really helpful.
The TVs could be updated to be able to use apps.
The staff were all excellent. They are extremely accommodating and this is one of the best things about the hotel. Also excellent breakfast.
The room could have been cleaner. Carpets not vacuumed properly, stains on floor behind toilet and stains on bedding. Also the fish pie at dinner was hardly the best and didn't taste fresh.
