Check-in is at 3 pm, however, the hotel will store any luggage for early arrivals. Should your room be available, you will be provided with keys immediately. Excellent Omani Experience
Pros:

The hotel was a beautiful interior design and wide range of facilities.

Cons:

The only negative about the hotel is the exterior design of the building. Which does not look so attractive compared to other hotels in the area. However the interior, facilities and staff make it a world class hotel.

Facilities , comfort was at a very high level, great for any international traveler (including various plugins on the room for devices). Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Food at the hotel restaurant was amazing👌

Cons:

Price is a bit higher and any alterations , e.g. earlier check-in was harder to arrange.

Pros:

Intercontinental è una garanzia! Camera ampia e super pulita, letti e cuscini super confortevoli, bottiglie d'acqua gratuite sempre presenti in camera, colazione e cena (musandam) a buffet, ottime. Presenti diversi ristoranti nella struttura, kids club, piscina esterna, palestra e campi padel. Accesso in spiaggia (qurum) direttamente dal giardino esterno. Parcheggio coperto compreso. Personale gentile e sempre a disposizione. Ottima soluzione sia per soggiorno di lavoro che per breve vacanza.

Cons:

Forse aggiungerei più lettini e ombrelloni in piscina onde evitare di non trovare posto in tarda mattinata.

Basics covered
Pros:

Extensive breakfast restaurant buffet. Multiple food options within the hotel or immediate vicinity. Easy flagging taxi from the door. Pool and gym facilities enough to cover number of guests. Direct access to beach. Tried two of the restaurants. Tomato - basic but pleasant fare. Trader Vics. Mediocre steak, relatively overpriced. Some of the restaurants nearby better, though stay in the hotel if expecting alcohol with meal.

Cons:

Checkin was laboriously slow. I understand that the hotel operators are obligated to obtain lots of info by their govts, but it seems the big chains struggle with obtaining and prefilling this compared to smaller hotels. I went for a quiet pint in the 'English Pub' (think less Oxford, more Blackpool) on the ground floor of hotel, but it was a very awkward experience. A 'lady of the night' approached me within seconds of arrival, and my rebuttal caused a maniacal response; my 'quiet pint' became a very fast uncomfortable one instead.
