Excellent family stay
Pros:

Our family of four had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Westin. The suite was incredibly spacious with a FULL kitchen. This allowed us to have a few meals in the hotel and save some money. My kids stayed in the sofa bed, which they said was very comfortable. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and there was bar service at the pool, which was a great plus if you wanted to grab a drink or a snack. My kids also enjoyed the bocce court (although they used it to play football :)). I also appreciated the 5 pm complimentary wine tasting. The location is also very convenient being close to Oxbow Public Market. Overall, this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and greatly appreciate the excellent customer service, cleanliness, and beauty of the grounds.

My only pieces of constructive feedback would be (1) to not allow people to hog the cabanas by putting their stuff there and then leaving; (2) put in a sauna.

Favorite Hotel in Napa!
Pros:

This is my favorite hotel in Napa! The hotel is beautiful and the level of customer service is five star. I want to acknowledge Brenda at reception. She moved mountains to ensure that I had a great suite. I am a lifetime Platinum Elite membet and always recommend Bonvoy properties.

Recommend for a splurge in Napa!
Pros:

Stayed here for a conference. Everything was top notch! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and refreshed daily. The food at the conference was phenomenal and everything was gorgeous. The staff were constantly refreshing the food and drinks with a smile. The pool was perfect temperature! They provided free water bottles throughout our stay. You are right across from the Napa wine train. There is a walking path behind the hotel called the Napa River Trail that is very peaceful. You can walk to downtown in 10-15 minutes. You can also walk to bike rental shops, walmart, restaurants, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Not a luxury hotel at all

This was not a service lapse - it was a breakdown of basic hospitality standards.
We booked a one-night stay at The Westin Verasa Napa expecting a premium Marriott experience. Instead, we encountered multiple on-property failures—particularly around hygiene, communication, and service handling—that led us to cut our stay short and depart early. While Marriott later acknowledged service lapses in writing, the overall response did not reflect the seriousness of the issues experienced. This is shared factually so other travelers can make an informed decision.
Key issues during the stay:
- Early check-in mismanagement: Request was made and reconfirmed, yet we were repeatedly given shifting timelines and asked to return later, only to find the room still not ready.
- Unacceptable hygiene standards: Chewing gum adhered inside the refrigerator and unsanitary food-preparation surfaces in the suite.
- Room not fully prepared: Housekeeping and maintenance issues remained unresolved even after check-in.
- Lack of acknowledgment: No clear apology or ownership taken for the condition of the room, particularly the kitchen area.
- Indifferent service response: Interactions felt dismissive and procedural rather than solution-oriented, with no meaningful attempt at recovery.
- Breakfast handling: Despite being on a full B&B package, we were repeatedly handed breakfast vouchers, suggesting internal confusion around our booking.
- Poor breakfast experience: When we arrived for breakfast, we were asked to return after a 30–60 minute wait, with no apology, no alternative offered, and no attempt to prioritize or accommodate—this was the point at which we decided to end the stay.
- Early departure: We chose to check out earlier than planned due to the cumulative experience.
- Inadequate resolution: Despite documented issues and written acknowledgment, the property declined a meaningful refund, offering loyalty points and a waived fee instead; a small partial refund was later processed, which does not align with the experience
