Good for a quick trip
Pros:

Easy check-in and I was able to get in a little ahead of official check in time. The room was standard Hampton Inn but that’s why I booked it. Bathroom had an actual door (no barn door nonsense). Double queen room had a fridge and microwave. Comfy beds. The room was clean. They provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and soap (in refillable containers). Breakfast had a decent selection. I really liked the historic aspect of the hotel. It gave the hotel some character as opposed to the usual Hamptons. Brown was a walkable distance if you are good with steep hills. There were places to eat within walking distance as well.

City Hampton Inn, consistent experience with brand.
Pros:

The location is close (quick drive) to Brown’s campus and walkable to some nice places to eat. We were pretty surprised how much parking was, which added to an already high price for a Hampton Inn. The room was decent size. The pull out did not have sheets on it and the bag of linen they gave us did not feel clean. I would be amenable to returning because location was good but the price felt high for the experience. Staff were friendly.
