the upper floors were refurbished and looked new
The property is undergoing a major remodel and should NOT have been taking on guests. This place should have been closed until finished. This must be an example of greed over common sense. Full price rates, no mention of construction, no mention of unavailable amenities. From the outside, there were boxes of new furniture stacked around the entrance. Upon entering it was obvious that i was stepping.into an active construction site. There were stacks of old chairs, boxes in the halls, filthy floors and workers installing carpet, bringing in materials. So much activity that I was in their way. Basically all the common areas were unavailable to guests. Ironically I made a special request to have a quiet room away from the elevators. I guess hammering bumping and banging things and workers talking.loudly should have been specified because therenwas plenty of that. I decided that what I arrived to was nothing short of complete misrepresentation. I told the desk that I was not going to stay and wanted a refund. Because the booking went through a third party, I had to initiate the termination through them. Fair enough, but soon afterwards the hotel briefly threatened to invoke their cancellation fee. After a couple of terse email exchanges, they agreed to waive their cancellation penalty. I did get a promise of a refund.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
I wish we would’ve known it was under construction. And based on that- I would expect a more discounted rate.
It made me feel like I was lied to in a way because they didn’t disclose condition on
website. That made for a bad impression before I even walked inside the doors.. Terrible first impression. Poor business attitude imo
Highly recommend this hotel. Check-in was easy and fast, Richard at the front desk was very friendly, accommodating and helpful in recommending directions to where we were going. Our Jr. King suite was a great set-up for 3 adults. In room coffee amenities were great. Sofa pull out bed very comfortable with ample pillows. Very nice linens and bathroom amenities. Hot breakfast was average, but got us something in our stomachs before heading out. Did I mention the hot fresh cookies at the front desk was a nice addition!!!
Shower was dirty with a lot of haiir. Im bald so it wasn’t mine

Location was great for where we needed to be. Parking on-site was plentiful.
Desk staff was HORRIBLE. They CHARGE, not HOLD, the $200 damage deposit up front, and also CHARGE you the credit card fee to apply the charge. This is an unacceptable practice. The property should place a "hold" for the damage deposit and then release the hold upon checkout. When I enquired about this the associate was VERY rude and just said it is "hotel policy". Thankfully, I immediately put the entire charge in dispute with MC and ended up being credited completely, including the "mandatory" service charge. I will pay a higher rate at another property rather than stay here again. So sad.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt it was a safe areas.
Breakfast could have more of a selection of hot foods.
The beds were very comfortable. It was very clean.
The price fluctuations. We stayed 5 nights and left for 4 night and came back another 5 nights. The 1st week was very good rates. The 2nd week, I think our rates changed almost daily. We had to add our extra nights daily due to family in hospital.
