Contrary to past experiences at airport hotels, the Clayton Hotel was extremely well cared for and had many of the amenities that a traveler craves, like decent hotel restaurants, friendly staff, timely shuttle buses, and updated rooms, linens and bathrooms. The front desk allowed us early check-in, which was really helpful traveling with an infant, and the housecleaning person on our floor was extremely helpful and friendly to us.
The price, somewhere around 260 euros for 2 adults and an infant, was one of the highest we paid during our week in Ireland, and more than I've ever spent on an airport hotel. However, it was comparable to all the other hotels near the airport. And, after all of the good vibes we felt staying there, I have to say it was worth the money.

Comfy mattresses, good sized rooms, complimentary bottles of water (very handy), quiet enough, even when most rooms are occupied. Free airport shuttle was a deal breaker.
We were at the hotel twice, night 8-9 August and again 23-24, first room we got was somehow scruffier and dirtier, with old bathtub scratched all over. We didn't use it, it looked not too hygienic. The second stay, room was clean and the bathroom was ok.
There are many breakfast choices. Abundance of fresh fruits was nice.
Breakfast floor, seats and tables all sticky, made me feel like bringing a bottle of spray and wipe all, top to bottom.. Just as sticky was the main reception floor. It seems like nobody has a clue of how clean floors, chairs, tables, feel like. For the price tag one would expect some better maintenance but was more of greasy diner standard.
The staff were so helpful and offered to check us in early without any extra fees. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The shuttle service to and from the airport was wonderful. The staff also were friendly and kind.

We went for an overnight stay before our flight departing from Dublin. It worked out perfectly to have connecting rooms since we were traveling with multiple family members. The Italian restaurant food was very nice as well. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. It's a bustling hotel! Proximity to the airport was very nice and the shuttle to the terminal was very convenient.
The shower/bathtubs were elevated and the curtains were too long (a potential slipping hazard). The grab bars may not be adequate for elderly or clients with limited mobility. We did not check if there were different types of rooms (for accessibilty). Everyone stayed safe, but just something for people to be aware of.
