TV didn't work in my room. We asked for it to be fixed and no one came. Wanted to relax at the end off the day. Also kids running up down hallways & elevators no parental supervision. Was loud at night.
Convenient location
Rooms are a bit dated, bathrooms could use a better cleaning, the grout showing signs mildew and mold. Better mattress, bed was sagging.
everything
there wasn't one thing I didn't like
I feel like Courtyards used to be a nicer mid-level hotel, but this is no longer the case. It was dark and dingy. The walls of my room were dirty, the carpets and couches as well. They ran out of laundry soap, so I ended purchasing a huge container as that was all I could find that was close, then the laundry room door was locked and they couldn’t get it open. I never received the mobile key I had asked for repeatedly and was told day after day they have a new system so it takes time. What’s the point if you still have to go to the front desks to check in when you arrive? The rom was fairly quiet until the weekend when the hotel was apparently hosting a number of families for youth sports tournaments who proceeded to run through the halls screaming most of the night. This isn’t the hotel’s fault of course, but just be prepared if you plan to stay here as maybe this is a central location for these events and therefore this could be something common on weekends. If I had the time during my stay I would have checked out and moved hotels. This ends my stays at Courtyards for a while.
non working microwave. over priced breakfast items
Do not stay here with a group/block reservation and do not set up a group/block reservation. I set up a block for a family gathering for May. A family member booked a room. However 4 days before the expiration of the block only one family had reserved a room under the block. The sales manager Nano Leech emailed me and texted me stating that to honor rate I had to purchase more rooms myself or the rate would be increased for the guest who had already booked! When I receive this, I immediately double checked my agreement with the hotel and the information received when a room is booked. None of this said that the rate could increase if a minimum number of rooms were not booked. The sales manager was illegally trying to increase the rate or coerce me into paying for additional rooms that were not needed. I did call the general manager after receiving this information from the sales manager, and he was able to fix it however the threat to illegally increase the rate never should have been attempted.
Clean hotel, quiet location and convenient to nearby shops. Enjoyed the heated pool. A nice place to stay overnight on a road trip. No complimentary breakfast but overall good value at an affordable price
Location, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed
Bathroom could use some TLC
I took the family on a small spring vacation. Our room 305 was hot for the most of our stay. We stayed from Thursday till Sunday midday. We complained about the heat in our room and they gave us 2 box fans. Wow! The asked us the night before if we wanted to change our room and we said no. We were already settled in and to move 3 kids, and dog, my wife and I personal stuff was too much for just 1 night. The last night our room was 84 degrees. I had to get wet towels to put over my kids forehead to sleep well. The food was descent, the pool was fun for all. Another Debby downer was that I asked the front desk to put the fire pit on and that said no because the area was closed for the night. 10 o clock on a Friday and Sat night. It seems a little too early for a weekend. I complained to the front desk guy named Mike and he seemed like he didn't care or want to satisfy a client with their complaints. My wife and I are honors reward members. I guess they are not trained, or taught to make the client happy so they would come back. He could've suggested a free night, and or a discount on our stay.
The room was clean. The thermostat was easy to operate. The pool was warm and clean with lots of clean towels.
I did not appreciate the fact that the only coffee available outside of the room was for coaches and wrestlers competing that day. The bistro didn't open until 7am and I'm not comfortable using the coffee machine in the room. I also feel as if black coffee is a very small amenity that could be provided by every hotel service. I wish there was a hot tub but did enjoy the pool regardless of that. I would have also liked to have more room in the refrigerator.
The room design was very nice and spacious. We enjoyed having a place to sit other than on the bed.
The manager took the price of the breakfast off of our bill when I complained about the shower. Very appreciated.
My husband had breakfast and described it as "horrible". He had a breakfast burrito and said it was quite small and was difficult to cut through. It was dry and tough - like it had been heated in the microwave too long.
The shower was horrible - water was still coming out of the faucet and not all going up into the shower head. Also, the soap dispenser was sitting on it's side after being broken off the wall.
It had a very bad smell to it.
They were short staffed and didn't seem to know what they were doing without the cook.
The hotel was beautiful. It was perfect location, the worst part was the parking, but I just chalked it up to everything that was going on (state wrestling) and it didn’t help the weather was freezing. But overall, loved this hotel!
NA
Very close to restaurants and stores and the mall.
