Great location, friendly staff, great bar area, breakfast was pretty good.
Air conditioning units in the rooms are very loud! You know you are in trouble when they supply you with ear plugs next to the bed. Weren’t good enough. Thankfully had my noise canceling headphones.
The front desk staff were always incredible and fun!! Always talked to us when we came in or left, answered any questions we had, and were overall very lively people!
Good location
Everything was good
Hotel was centrally located and near the bus/ lynx station. We were in town for an NFL game and were very comfortable to walk to the Bank Of America stadium. We also walked to the Nascar hall of fame which was enjoyable. Rooms were very pleasant. We stayed in a King size room.
We paid extra for breakfast but breakfast options were very limited and very disappointing - we ended up having Breakfast in the diner next door to the hotel. We arrived at the Aloft at 9pm on a busy Saturday night having travelled around DC/ Virginia/ North Carolina for previous 2 weeks staying in numerous properties without needing to use a physical credit card to pay deposits for car hire/ hotels (we also have used booking.com many times in other countries and not used a physical credit card). However Aloft by Mariott need to have a physical card in their hand as part of checkin. Booking.com and the Aloft could not come up with any option to use a virtual card/ passport etc. It was an extremely stressful occasion as both parties had no option cancelling our booking and leaving us homeless. The hotel front desk staff were very helpful trying to see if there were options to get around this but we did not find the manager on duty very helpful and found her quite rude. Aloft seem to think that a physical card is more secure than a virtual card - not sure that there logic is correct! Booking.com view is that a Credit Card is a physical card - not sure on that logic either! It wasn't a good start to our stay but thankfully it didn't ruin our short stay in Charlotte.

Location was great and was within walking distance to a lot of places I will want to see in the future.
The parking and the lobby being on the fifth floor.
