Ok if the price is right
Pros:

One night stop at an attractive price for this mid scale hotel. Hotel decor is dated with some noticeable stains on the room carpet but basic fittings and bathroom are ok. Staff friendly and a good night’s sleep

Won't return here
Pros:

After 12hrs travelling we were relieved to get to our hotel for the evening and figured it'd be best to stay there for dinner rather than venture out.

There was no understanding of my sisters GF allergies so she ended up with a very small piece of salmon and nothing else as there was no alternative for the sides she could not have. I ordered the chicken tenders which were so overdone and dry you couldn't eat them.

We decided to have a drink at the bar and left majority of our meals but when getting there, there were 4 members of staff stood behind the bar and not one acknowledged us even when we said excuse me to get their attention.

All in all we found them to be extremely rude and left earlier than intended the next day.

Pros:

There was an issue with the booking, I had booked for 3 nights, but they only had 2 nights booked on their system. Also their system was showing different prices, to the booking prices, so I had to agrue with them about the cost of each night. Lastly the aircon was not working in the bedroom, so we had to move rooms after the first night.

Pros:

Great it had an open Resturant but the staff was pushed as only one, so service good but very slow. Would definitely go back having said that.

Pros:

Hotel is in a run down relatively poor area as a result there were groups of young people hanging around and in the quieter areas we did not feel safe. Security of the car park was a concern.

The restaurant seemed under staffed and was in some disarray with long wait times and poor communication.

Avoid
Pros:

The hotel room was dirty and worn out. Chairs and carpet heavily stained with I don’t know what. Room smelt of smoke . Toilet seat stained brown and orange . The room was absolutely freezing even though we set the heating to high . It was so cold we slept in our clothes and left the hotel at 4am . Avoid

CHECK YOUR BILL !!!
Pros:

We travelled via this hotel from France to Uk, so seven days apart. On the first occasion we asked for a wine list as the staff struggled to communicate wines and price ( in French ) their Chablis is hugely overpriced at 50€ a bottle… but they were unsure of other prices. We communicated this to the management.

On our second visit after the same unclear answer to what wine do you have, we ordered the same wine we had paid 29 € previously only to be told it was also 50 € because it contained six glasses @11euros each 🤨 fortunately I have enough French to challenge this - showing our bill from 7 days prior. We also challenged the coffees we had not had 😬 CHECK YOUR BILL AND ASK FOR PRINT OUT . Staff are muddled and there is no attention to detail. Prices seem to be arbitrary and if you do not speak French you could well be in for a nasty shock.

Oh and food is mediocre and very overpriced 🙄

Don’t eat here if you have allergies
Pros:

The worst place have ever eaten as a coeliac. Daughter was given ‘penne’ as a gluten free meal. It wasn’t a gluten free version. Some staff were doing their best to help and clearly hasn’t been given any training on allergies. One member of staff (and the allergen menu) said chips were gf, the next member of staff said they were not. Do not eat here if you have allergies. The staff were lovely and just doing their best.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

OK the hotel doesn't look that amazing from the outside, but inside it is pleasant and welcoming. It has some quirks, for instance no actual reception desk so I asked someone who was studiously working on a laptop and it turned out they were checking people in! Also the 2 person lift is unusual in a family hotel! But, we found the rooms comfortable, even though we had some noisy kids staying in the room opposite. The restaurant was very good, good service, interesting menu. Bar was very good with a good selection of drinks, cocktails etc. The pool was excellent, we enjoyed using the pool and had a few drinks outside by the pool which was pleasant..
Breakfast was excellent, we enjoyed that. Staff were mostly very pleasant, all in all a nice stay that I would definitely consider again when in the area

Pros:

Generally good. But the electric car charging facilities were very poor. Firstly they looked dangerous/ out of action and secondly they didn’t have commonly used plug sockets. The nearest alternative chargers are a long way away, which was extremely inconvenient. I won’t stay again unless they upgrade their electric chargers.

Disgusting hotel
Pros:

If i could give this hotel no stars i would! Disgusting hotel with unhelpful, and undertrained staff. Check in is at 2pm, we arrived at 3.50pm. Was told one room was ready and my son’s room wasn't. The receptionist gave us both room keys and said if we gave it half an hour the other room would be ready. So we went into our room and the smell was dreadful, we booked 2 superior rooms. It smelt unclean and of BO!! In further inspection we could see it was dirty (see photos of toilet and fan) We should have checked ourselves straight out and got a refund. However we were tired from travelling early. After half an hour we entered our son’s room. We were shocked and disgusted not only that it wasn't ready at 2.00pm but the state of the room!! (See photo's of room) It was stinking and yet again smelly! Don't be fooled by the glossy photos on the website, they are a lie. They are drab brown rooms with wall chip paper. On complaining to reception about the state of the rooms, she i know but didn't care at all about guests comfort. She was quite rude to be honest as if it was my fault! Booked breakfast but however was too nervous to eat from there, because it was so dirty. Had drinks in the bar but the glasses were stinking. Went out to MD for food as thought it be safer!
DO NOT BOOK TO STAY HERE!

Pros:

Nice place for a stop on the way through France. Outdoor pool and play area was great for kids!
Seems everyone else had the same idea!
Restaurant gets booked up quickly and we struggled to eat due to delays getting to the hotel with the now inevitable immigration delays at Caen port. Uber Eats to the hotel was a saviour.
Breakfast on the other hand was utterly appalling. Came down at 0830 to find the buffet completely devoid of food and the staff very slow to react and stock up. Even then it was limited. Not sure what the issue was that a breakfast advertised to 10am was lacking 90 mins before that.
If they sorted out the food and drink issues at this hotel, it would be a much better experience for all guests.
