Central location and pleasant atmosphere

I have visited the hotel numerous time and love the location, close to restaurants, central transport and the general hospitality of the staff

Cons:

Despite being a regular guest at this hotel, I was disappointed by the rude and dismissive behaviour of the check-in receptionist, Eloide (or Eloise). She appeared unaware that I understand French and made remarks about me to another guest standing next to me, which I found unprofessional and upsetting.

I have always had positive experiences with Novotel staff, which made this interaction particularly disappointing. I will be returning next week and hope that appropriate training is provided to this young lady to ensure guests—especially those who are tired after long journeys—are treated with courtesy and respect.

Sleepless in Switzerland.
Pros:

The overall hotel facilities were pleasant, the breakfast tasty and the location was quite good.

Cons:

Hotels in Geneva aren't allowed to operate air conditioning during the winter. This Novotel was like a furnace to sleep in. All of our family and our pals in the room next door were all shattered each morning as it was very hard to sleep in such heat. This would be a great hotel if they improve their ventilation during winter months.
