Quiet rooms where you couldn’t hear anything outside not even the thunderstorm that came through

My family and I came here to Garden for a funeral, I will say our vibes are already bummed but the state of this hotel where we slept, and took sanctuary was very poor. The girl who gave us our keys messed up the door assignments i don’t know how many times, also i’m not sure if this black man was her boyfriend or something but everytime she was here he was here, it was weird and felt unsafe. he would stare at everyone coming in and out, i’m not sure if they told him anything but obviously they didn’t if he kept coming back. Dirty clothes and dirty looks not a good vibe for a small town with several people and family traveling. I’m not sure how garden city handles their homeless issues but nothing was done. The workers were rude to my grandmother when she tried resolving things with our keys and the hotel maintenance did terrible with pickup/clean up. don’t like the attitudes of the workers at all, only one young man helped he was young, tall, blonde guy with glasses. Thank you for being the only worker in this establishment with actual manners. So id say if you are visiting with several people and if any of them are handicapped or disabled don’t even bother coming here, their elevators are never working or even get fixed.

Room was a nice size and comfortable.

Cons:

Pool out of order.
Smells like the sewer in the hallway.
We had to fix our own television. Staff was no help.
Things were broken—-we tried to change the toilet paper roll and the holder flew off the wall.
