Had a great night at this hotel
They had a fantastic offer on with a room overnight, a two course meal, breakfast and drinks from 6pm to 11pm all for £139.
Hotel is really clean, staff friendly and attentive, room great with a very comfortable bed.
Evening food and breakfast again were very good then when you add in the DJ it all added up to an excellent evening with friends.
Definitely a place we will be returning to.
We have stayed twice on an all inclusive party night package. It's good value for money. The staff are friendly and the service good. Lots of car parking space. The food was nice and we enjoyed our breakfast. Rooms are clean and of a decent standard. We would return for special party nights or events.
We were having a terrible experience in a local AirbNb, so booked this online same date to get a break from it. At £70 for a Saturday night I didnt have the highest expectations, but upon arrival I felt it was good value for money and of a higher standard than I was expecting.
Negatives were the carpets a bit worn, TV a bit small and out of date and the lighting system in room was weird ( they were either all on or all off).
Positives were, reception was pleasant, place was clean, good sized comfortable beds and spacious rooms, ample free parking, convenient location to join the motorways.
We didn't eat breakfast as at £14 it felt a bit overpriced.
We will definitely use this location again when traveling to football matches.
What a great start to 2026 our first stay away at the Everglades Hotel this year and it will not be our last, we did enjoy 4 or 5 breaks in 2025 and it just keeps getting better this is all thanks to Angie and her fantastic team, we had room 101 which is spot on for my wife Marie who is on crutches, room was spotless as was every other aspect of the Hotel. We were on the all inclusive package and it is very good value for your money, the drinks package is great as I always go ultra for an extra £13.00P a night well worth it. The food on both Saturday & Sunday was outstanding, thanks to the Chefs & of course you Angie for always showing your warmth & caring attitude to your guests as do your entire team.
See you in April. THANKS Ken & Marie.
Stayed here the night before creamfields and was really happy. The locality was great as was the price. We did have to put a deposit down because we were going to the festival the next day and not staying again which I found a bit odd but maybe they’ve had bad experiences from this in the past. There was a wedding on at the same time but no noise or anything, would staycation.
We had a great night at their New Year’s Eve celebration as a group of 6. Duty manager Angela and her team were fantastic. The food was lovely and service very friendly. Our all inclusive package was great and breakfast in the morning was really tasty. All in all a fantastic stay and thanks to all the staff for making it such a great start to the New Year.
Booked one night on the spur of the moment and I have to say what a great time we had. Before you read the other reviews please bear in mind we paid £109 for a room... Comfy bed.... Great food.... Free bar for 6 hours friendly staff. That's £109 people... It's not the Ritz but a great place for a break.
We have stayed here in the past and it was excellent. All inclusive with a 2 course meal 5 hours of drinks bed and breakfast.
This time we stayed before we went to get our drinks we sat on the bed and it was very uncomfortable, didn't complain because we figured it was 1 night and we would be slightly tipsy.
The drinks were nice. Good selection it started busy but we never waited more than a minute or so at the bar.
We went for our meal about an hour into the all inclusive
First of all the menu dramatically changed. It used to be a 2 course set menu. Now it's an allowance of £25pp. Which seems brilliant but when you see the menu there are supplements everywhere, there's only a few combinations you can have that keep you under your allowance.
For starter I had black pudding and chorizo chips, tasty but it was less of a starter and more of an amuse bouche. My wife got a single mozzarella stick. Together they were priced at 15.50.
Mains
My wife got a steak ciabatta and had to pay £2.50 for cheese on it. This made the dish £26.50 which is nothing short of ludicrous and to add insult to injury the cheese that was added was burger slice cheese.
I got a burger and chips, previously the chips here were absolutely gorgeous today they were different and frozen rubbish. My burger was seared to within an inch of its life, priced at £17 if I was paying full price for it I would have sent it back in a heartbeat.
All in all £58.50 for a mozerella stick, two slices of very thin black pudding and chorizo both with a side salad. A steak and cheese slice ciabatta and a burger that was less well done and more congratulations.
The waiter came over and refilled my drink free as part of the package so credit where it's due.
The drinks were fine, though it's not that difficult to mix 2 ingredients together. I may have drank more than I wanted to because I knew I had to face sleeping in that uncomfortable bed. Slept ok as it happened.
There was entertainment on in the way of karaoke which enhanced the atmosphere
Next day we had breakfast a full English 1 sausage 1 egg, 1 hash brown, 2 bacon and a slice of black pudding. Was absolutely delicious so I can only assume a different chef cooked it from the night before. Free continental/ toast/ fruit juice buffet aswell.
Every member of staff we encountered were lovely. The young girl behind the bar was chatty.
All in all we paid just over £116 for the entire package which stopped me complaining because I think we drunk about that alone, however I won't be returning here.
Christmas Day Lunch 2025 - £79.00 per head x5. Total £395.00
Don't waste your money. The food was so terrible. & the Service? what service!
Overpriced food, Drinks extortionate £30.00 for a cheap bottle of vinegar wine,
No Christmas atmosphere just playing Alexa on repeat,
Starter- Soup had no flavour bland. prawn cocktail had a terrible flavor to it.
Main - Beef option was like fray Bento's pie (dog meat) Not sliced beef off the bone, frozen sprouts & roasties. No pigs in blankets No Yorkshire pudding No mash. Just slop.
Turkey option was no better. like from a packet. No mash No cranberry offered plus everything was covered in gravy? No option just served.
Desert - Christmas pudding with something on top? revolting.
When we got home, we all felt so sick.
First timers never again. Stay home for 2026
Thankfully only stayed one night to visit friends locally. I understand that the hotel is in need of an update to the decor and some refurb, that's reflected in the price. However that doesn't excuse the lack of basic cleanliness and hygiene. The bathroom was covered in black mould. We'd already moved rooms once due to the mattress in the first room being broken and collapsed on one side so couldn't be bothered asking to move again because of the filthy bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stayed on the all inclusive range for my birthday with my mum, worried about the bad reviews but please don’t be - everything was excellent!!
Arrived to a speedy check-in, a lovely room. The whole hotel including room was spotless, spacious and warm!
Afternoon tea, 2 course meal and breakfast all of excellent quality and loads to choose from! Literally could not complain at all about anything
The hotel was quiet but it was a Sunday but we didn’t feel rushed at all
Overall a VERY special mention who made our stay even better was ‘Jim’ - waiter, bartender, cleaner and all round amazing person! He was so polite, attentive and could not do enough for us. A real credit to the hotel and making guest experiences 100% better!
I would definitely return and looking forward to it!
Stayed here with a friend two females while visiting Liverpool. Was only somewhere to get our head down really and a night away with no kids to relax in peace. Well peace we didn’t get!
When we arrived there was a wedding party on. We were placed in a room 2 doors down from the bar where the party was and all you could hear was the thud of the music. Both in our 30’s were not party poopers and want to stop people having fun but it was very loud!! Went to reception and said how loud it was and asked if it was possible to move rooms to be told the typical ‘sorry I can’t we’re fully booked’ didn’t look or try and accommodate us but elsewhere. I doubt very highly it was fully booked when the car park was pretty empty. Went back to reception and asked if we could have a fan to maybe try and drown the noise out so we could get some sleep with that. Again told ‘no, I don’t think we have any it’ll stop at midnight’ at 10pm we ended up driving to the local Tesco express too get a fan. The noise did stop at 12 but still not the point.
Anyway on to the actual room. Wow… there was a notice on the door to say it had been cleaned and sanitised I’m not sure where!? It was filthy! Cobwebs and dust everywhere even a chip on the floor!! Went had two single beds which were hard and I don’t think the mattress had been changed for about 40 years as there were no springs left in it. You just sank on to the hard base of the bed. Decor is very tired and dated too. Mould all around the bathroom tap as well. The telly remote was sticky to touch and neither of the bed side lamps actually worked.
On arrival at the hotel it appears very nice and modern however behind the doors of reception it is a completely different story. Could be a lovely hotel with a bit of a more approachable receptionist and a lot of money spent modernising the rooms.
Wouldn’t waste your money personally spend that but extra and stay in a travel lodge or premier inn at least you know what your getting.
Very pleasant stay. Nice Full English Breakfast. Hotel recommended.
Rooms ok but could do with a refit
Food , staff ,bar and restaurant excellent 👍
Would stay again
Firstly, let’s start with our Driver Gavin, he was excellent and provided good considerate service nothing was too much for him. Should also be on the stage with his jokes all good fun.
We arrived at the hotel, check in was fast. First impression was the grounds were all clean and nicely kept. There was no porterage and no lift, we were ok as we had a pre-arranged room on the ground floor. On arrival at our room, it was mainly clean and tidy, just one thing noted was the vacuum cleaner missed the corners. The bathroom was fine, could have done with another handle in the shower The bed was way past its use by date, the worst bed we have ever had in a hotel. If you sat on the side of the bed it sunk by about 10 inches if you were not careful you just fell backwards onto your back. Definitely needs replacing.
Now to the restaurant, Breakfast was the best meal, only thing wrong, was no Cornflakes otherwise there was a good selection. Dinner was another subject, being polite it was rubbish, Soups were too thick one person was cutting theirs with a knife, needed to be thinner. The main course selection was poor, Chicken, Chicken, Pork Stroganoff and more chicken, on the night when Stroganoff was on, the second choice was “Chicken with Spaghetti”. There was no fish on at all. Every night one of the vegetables was Broccoli Spears with something else. The insult was a main choice one night was Sausage Mash and Peas by the colour of the Two Sausages they were a reheat of breakfast leftovers, we can have better Sausage and Mash at home without paying for poor quality out. Now to the deserts, Eton mess on two nights, the best one was the Apple Crumble which had to have been chilled or frozen. Think they must have shares in the local Chicken Farm. Al
The hotel is situated way out from the town at least 2 miles, there was no entertainment, just the bar. All in all, this is more of a business hotel and not a holiday hotel. If they coach had been full there would not be enough seating in the Bar. There is seating outside if the weather is nice. This hotel is too remote not to have entertainment.
Clean room all ready for us by Claire.
Friendly helpful welcome on reception. Very dog friendly. Good cooked breakfasts. Amle car parking. Good directions signs on approach roads
Ok hotel bathrooms could do with updating stayed her a few times always friendly cooked breakfast good could do with abit more choice on the pastries.
The room was dated with cobwebs around the light fittings. One switch controlled the whole rooms lighting, which was bizarre. There was mold spores on the bathroom ceiling and the grouting had been painted over with white paint. The carpet had seen better days, with one corner having no pattern left on it and being thread bear. There was a private function going on, which was very noisy and didn't finish until 1 am. There were then lots of traffic in the corridor, between rooms. We were travelling with two dogs, who were constantly being disturbed by the noise. Apart from that, the bed was comfortable. Would I stay here again, unfortunately not.
Stayed in Everglades while attending a friend's wedding.
This is a great little hotel.
Rooms are lovely and big with very comfy beds. Everything you would need is available in room.
The wedding reception meal was fabulous. Food was just amazing.
Pizza buffet in evening was really good too.
Breakfast was very good, a help yourself buffet all freshly cooked.
Cannot fault this hotel and it was a really great place to have a wedding. Highly recommend.
Stayed here 31 August til 02 September
On arrival place looks lovely
Once you make your way to room there is threadbare carpets once you enter the room furniture is dated carpets stained could be doing with some paint. Bathroom was full of hairs. Skirting was filthy with dirt and cobwebs which clearly have been there for a long time. One hand towel between three.
Arriving back to hotel on second night to find no servicing of room. Still one dirty hand towel, no toilet roll, no fresh milk for tea and bin not emptied. Advertises restaurant open till 9.30 but when arrived at 8.25 expecting food was told it closes at 8.30. Not even an offer to throw a couple of pizzas on for my son . Had to walk 15 mins to nearest shop for cold pasta and sandwiches
