Everything
I was put into a ( disability ) room , which the hotel said was requested from BOOKING .COM but I certainly did not request one , I can’t fault the hotel as it was BOOKING.COM who made the wrong booking
The location
The hotel is looking very tired and rooms are scruffy, needs a refurb.
Right in the middle of Kenilworth
Very clean, comfortable beds. Staff all friendly.
Breakfast was good with lots of choice my daughter liked the pancakes.
Parking was very limited but we did find parking a short walk from the hotel which we had to pay for.
We ordered food on the evening and waited 50 minutes for it to come to our table.
There was only 1 other family dining in there at the time so unsure why this took so long.
Sadly we had to leave before my little girls desert came out as we had already waited so long for the mains and had to be somewhere.
The location is very good near to bar's and restaurants. Bar's and restaurants who trade at a very fair prices.
The staff are very professional but show no interest in the client or clients. Not a hello or goodbye or have a nice day or how are you ? .
I was a little disappointed at the condition of my room , yes it look clean and i dont normally moan but i paid more the i have normally at lesser known hotel and it being cheaper and in better condition. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel just looking at the prices was enough , kids menu add up starters main and a dessert £17 ! for one child lol , honestly the Wetherspoon is five minutes away or if you have chicken Subway over the road . On my return one night i shared the lift with a lady with a small child she had ordered a Pizza and chips from Domino's and had it delivered to the hotel and said to me its cheaper to do this the prices in the hotel are ridiculous. The maid cleaner wanted me to step out the room so she could clean, i was stood in my underwear getting ready to go to a funeral but told her it was ok and she carried on .
I think next time i will stay down the rd and use taxis .
Location.
Car parking insufficient. Areas smelt of damp. Restaurant like a cafe.
The breakfast
The place is grim. Dirty and well overdue a makeover. Our bathroom had a leak, mould, and a rotten bath panel. The carpet had 3 large mounds in it, a trip hazard to anyone frail. It smelt. TV didn't work. Basic things like the ironing board and hairdryer were from the 1980s and filthy. Booked it because it was a brand, but wow, this place is well over a refurb. 2nd night we are in a Premier Inn and it's pure luxury compared to the Holiday Inn
Staff Nd breakfast ran smoothly
No plugppints near bedside , we had to unplug kettle to get an extra power socket to change phones
Breakfast was excellent
Room quality - TV didnt work properly, heating didnt work at all. Downgraded from our original booking and new room was poor.
Good room space
Good location
Noisy cleaners in the morning
Not enough milk
Nice location
Bar had no ice facilities could use a gym
Convenient and well appointed . Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable and clean.
Nothing.
