Nothing
Bad area , room not clean, no shampoo
The sheets were dirty stains on them gave me another room it was worse. The sheets were dirty the room smelled horrible
My partner and I checked into this hotel in Room 108 on the first floor. What we experienced was shocking and unacceptable.
Because of other visible issues in the room (the filthy lamps and overall poor state of the bathroom), we finally checked the mattress more thoroughly on our last day. The moment we lifted the sheets (something no guest should ever have to do), what we found was disgusting: the mattress was covered in large, obvious dry urine stains and red stains that looked like dried blood. This is completely unsanitary and a serious health risk. If we had not lifted those sheets, we would never have realized the horrible conditions underneath. The hotel seems to expect guests to perform their own inspection of the most basic living conditions — pulling back bedding, checking mattresses, examining every surface — just to confirm the room is habitable. That is not reasonable, and it is certainly not our job as paying customers. We are guests who paid for a clean, safe room, not professional inspectors.
The rest of the room was in deplorable condition:
-Curtains were disgustingly dirty
-The room (lamps and mattress area) smelled strongly of drugs
-The tub was badly stained
-The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag (a serious fire-safety violation)
When I spoke to the manager, Sara, she was unhelpful. Her response was basically, “Why didn’t you complain the first day?” The answer is simple: It is not our responsibility to verify hidden conditions like the state of the mattresses. We should not have to discover these issues ourselves. Guests should never have to “verify” that the bed they are sleeping in is free of bodily fluids.
The location made everything worse. We witnessed suspicious activity at night, and the surrounding area felt extremely unsafe. This hotel should not run until it can meet basic standards of cleanliness and safety.
My partner and I checked in to this hotel in room 108, 1st floor. Let me just say how if
You lift the sheets from the mattress.. it’s easy to see it was full of urine dry stains on the mattress, and dried blood. The curtains are disgustingly dirty, the lamps, the mattress, the room smelled like drugs, the tub was stained pretty bad. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. The location is horrible. We saw suspicious activity at night when returning to the hotel. The location is extremely ghetto and that hotel should be shut down. That is no way to run a hotel business. We will be speaking tomorrow morning to the manager Sara. We won’t let this drop. We filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau, The Health Department, Trip Advisor and if our unfortunate experience is used as ammunition to retaliate… rest assure we have no problem pressing charges with Harris County Police Department.
Sincerely
Leonilee & Dr. Galarza
