False advertising - not as advertised - not 4 star
Cons:

We stayed at Beachcomber Resort for four nights and unfortunately would not return. While the island itself is beautiful and the beachfront bure we were moved to was okay, the overall experience was let down by several significant issues.

The biggest problem was the water. From the day we checked in on Tuesday until we checked out on Friday, we had either no running water or extremely low water pressure. When water did come through, it was often dirty. Despite being regularly assured the issue would be fixed, it remained unresolved for our entire stay. It wasn’t until Thursday night, after we complained that we were having to buy bottled water just to wash our hands and brush our teeth, that staff finally delivered water to the rooms. We were also left wondering whether the resort’s ice was being made from untreated water, as both adults experienced upset stomachs and the children developed diarrhoea. Having no reliable running water for almost an entire stay is simply not acceptable.

Our first room also didn’t match the photos on Booking.com and was located beside a noisy generator, with significant noise from guests upstairs. To the resort’s credit, they upgraded us to a beachfront bure, which was much nicer and better reflected what had been advertised. Booking.com notes this is a 4 star resort. It is not. This is camping - no running water, rooms are like tents. You can hear everything in the rooms next to you. I agree with other reviews. Just be upfront on booking.com as to what the accomodation is. A budget 1-2 star accomodation similar to camping.

The food was another disappointment. Breakfast had very limited variety, lunch consisted largely of fried food buffet and dinner was also very limited for what was offered. There are no dining options outside set meal times. You also have to buy an entree and a main. You cannot just order a main. Food is very basic. Same menu. Food comes out warm or cold. Service is slow.

Very good one
Pros:

Good beautiful island resort. Our room is on the west close to Pacific and good view of sunsets

Cons:

They charged 4% for card payments and took the money 3weeks before our stay. Did not give us a chance to pay by cash

Beautiful location and beach and lovely staff.
Pros:

Beautiful beach. Pool and beach deck area lovely. Fun beach bar. Lovely staff.

Cons:

Resort needs overall tidy up. Room toilet seat loose and shower bayonet coming out of wall. Beach Bure in photos is not what we got. Not 20m sq no spare bed no glass windows or furniture as in photos. Room had slat walls so very noisy. Property under construction so building noise and sewerage smell from treatment pond middle island. Need to tidy up litter. Lots loud music and noise on 2 of our nights from staff quarters. A lot of open plumbing. No bottled water rooms. Food average and not 4 star. Sharing lunch with day trippers most days.

Lovely staff, hospitable, awesome view, very Chill vibe
Pros:

Staff friendly
Love the turtle experience
The verandah has good view with chill vibe
Hammock was our favourite spot to chill

Cons:

The meals should be improved most of the sauce wasn’t soak into meats or pasta taste very bland and the breakfast didn’t have much choice and the omelet didn’t star at 7am so never had chance to have it.

Mixed feelings, beware of money-hungry senior staff bkl
Pros:

Weather was perfect! Great coral reef at Nemo's dropoff. Junior wait staff were kind, personable, generous, attentive and friendly. Bure was comfortable and good quality. Food was plentiful.

Cons:

Senior staff were constantly chasing us to spend more. They had superficial friendliness towards us. The reef nearby is very damaged (95%) by coral bleaching and crown of thorns starfish. Despite clear impacts of climate change there was very little environmental education or advocacy going on. Turtle program was the one exception. Expensive place to stay. "All inclusive" package is not as it says - false advertising. Only cheap alcohol & basic sugary soft drinks included. This is a money-hungry business. Beware.

Pros:

Amazing location, sea, diners and entertainment. Just had an accident with a staff but the management was very professional in handling it. Unforgettable nice sleeping and peace

Cons:

Working in progress and noise at all time of the day and night, nicely covered by hissing of wind and waves most of the time.

Pros:

Spectacular views, pristine seas, totally chilled.
Incredibly helpful, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
Very family friendly.

Cons:

Difficult for less mobile. Soft sand everywhere is charming but can be difficult to negotiate.
A few appropriately positioned hand rails would be helpful.

Pros:

We had a beach bure, which was a phenomenal location with white sand / hammock / etc at our doorstep. The staff were really friendly and the vibe of the island was great. It isn't as fancy as some other resorts, but my teens liked the authenticity and that there were a balance of all ages

Cons:

Would have loved standard sizes of reef shoes for sale in the shop (only small or supersize) as we didn't realise these would have been so useful.

The beachcomber Mudslide cocktails were the best!
Pros:

Service was outstanding, excellent and made to feel at home

Cons:

It would be great to be able to buy hot food snacks inbetween the breakfast lunch and dinner. Such as burgers, fish and chips or other savory snacks, cheese platters or other choices. Otherwise great food and hospitality.

Didn't get the proper experience due to terrible weather for four days.
Pros:

When I booked, I was expecting a lovely, rustic, very casual and relaxed island resort, and that's exactly what I got. I love that I took my shoes off when I got to my room and didn't put shoes on again for the entire four days that I was there. My room was very comfortable. It was clean. The shower was great, and hot water was perfect.

I had a beachfront bungalow, which, if the weather had been great, would have been phenomenal, but unfortunately the entire time we were there it was rainy and virtually cyclonic, so I didn't get the full experience. I never got to swim in the pool, never got to snorkel or swim in the ocean except for the very first day, when I managed to get in a 20-minute snorkel, which was phenomenal. I would say that if the weather is bad, it's quite difficult because there's not much to do at the resort.

Cons:

I wasn't a huge fan of the food. I understand, of course, that there are limitations given that it's an island in the middle of the ocean, but I found that a lot of the food was carby and fried and pretty average across the board. I was on the full board package, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a lot of the stuff was repetitive. I would also say that while there are lots of drink options, a couple of things just need to be tweaked. I ordered a martini, a vodka martini, and I got vodka with martini rosso put in it instead of an actual martini. Just some small tweaks like that for something quite basic, but most of the other cocktails in that were fantastic, and the staff across the board was brilliant.
