Everything was exceptional- from check in to check out! Breakfast was outstanding!
Carthage is perfectly situated halfway between Central Arkansas and the Port of Galveston for those driving in for cruise ships. This hotel has great rates (a fraction of what we would have paid had we driven straight into the Houston or Galveston area).
It also has a very consistent, quality brand.
We were pleased with the size of the room, furnishings, and the pillows. My husband had a neck injury many years ago. It is hard for him to sleep sometimes. He was comfortable, which made me relax and sleep well.
Google maps had us drive a bit out of our way to get there. The route forces a U-turn from rhe North approach, just a minor inconvenience of civil engineering.

I find it really irritating when I can’t have an a/c on at night due to the controls being locked. Also the controls are on the wall so if no motion is detected the unit will turn off; for me this is a problem waking up in hot sweats.
Nice, clean and modern
The AC was ok but had it been the middle of summer it would not have been adequate. There was barely any water pressure. I have thick hair and it took several minutes for me to be able to get my hair wet. Additionally, we were on the 3rd floor and you could hear the traffic from the interstate through the windows.
It was a quick stay but a pleasant experience.
Went to check in and they told me my card didn’t go through and wanted me to pay again. I refused so they had to call the manager. Finally got in a room. The floor pieces in front of the ac were all coming up tripping us. Get up the next morning and the elevator is not working. Will never stay at this hotel again.
