The room size. The gym and spa were great.
The staff at breakfast didn’t know what they were doing. We weren’t informed at breakfast about the additional menu which we could order from. When we did we weren’t told they had ran out of pancake mix until after they delivered one serving for one child when two had been ordered! That didn’t go down well with the second child. We offered porridge, one with water and one with milk. When they serviced it they didn’t know which was which. When I complained to the manager about the service they said they’d have a word but won’t give me eye contact. Also, only one coffee machine for the entire hotel wasn’t enough especially one as slow as that one! Queues 5 people deep is not fun.
Reception staff, Dinesh and his colleague were very helpful and efficient.
Room was very comfortable
Breakfast was excellent, our family group of 8 adults ate in the restaurant both nights and enjoyed the food and had excellent service.
Television in bar area was very loud. We were staying at the hotel with family and it was difficult to relax and chat even during the lunchtime and early afternoon
It was good air conditioning. Most seats rather low. Friendly and courteous
The suite was rather “tired”. Some towels frayed. No cushions on balcony chairs. No lights on balcony Needs a good clean and paint ing rails. No bin for debris from tea and coffee facilities. Room service as we were after bar closed very limited and very expensive. The suite was the furthest from the lift. Air conditioning had to be programmed. No instructions. There was a Prim celebration on with hoards of teenagers taking over the whole bar space and photo shoots I. The outer spaces. We ended up going out to Marlow for dinner with friends. In return it was hard to get back into the reception and the lavatories were disgraceful.
Beautiful setting by a lake and not far from the river. Exceptional staff
Nothing really. Only very slight negative would have been nice if the restaurant menu had changed.
Room was spacious and clean, it’s not in the centre of Marlow but it is a walkable distance.
The outside seating in the bar area was lovely right next to the river
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The room was clean, great size. Lovely bathroom.
Wonderful breakfast options
Bar staff were somewhat rude and not accommodating. The conservatory area was dirty, especially the tables and the floor. Cutlery was quite dirty.
Breakfast pretty average
Plenty of food on offer.
Nice decor in restaurant.
Staff keeping everything topped up.
Felt a cut above the Travelodge or Premier Inn.
Good quality food served by courteous staff.
Overpriced. No ability to ask for anything different. Had to pay £4+ for a drink as no water left in dispenser and no glasses. I wanted a Coke and this was a small bottle at a very steep price that we had to get ourselves from the bar.
It was noisy- groups leaving from parties in different function rooms, even people moving up and down the corridor outside our room. The restaurant and bar had terrible acoustics and seemed very noisy, even when not especially busy. The cutlery, glasses and bottles seemed to be amplified and in the bar, voices of other people were overwhelmingly loud. We couldn’t have a quiet conversation!
Spa looked tired and in need of updates.
Friendly and welcoming from entering the building
Room 28 was my kind of room, I loved it make it mine next time please !
Breakfast - lovely choice but please serve coffee to the table, the coffee machine was wholly inadequate for needs
Nice bar, restaurant and terrace. Breakfast was very good. Room large and clean. All the staff are very nice and polite
Very nice clean rooms,beautiful location
Fabulous hotel, good quality food/room decor. Excellent staff.
Little bit further to Marlow town centre but would definitely book again, best hotel in the area.
