Was really looking forward to our stay - an it did not disappoint! Room and food were exceptional, owner and staff friendly and helpful, and the location wonderful.
The only thing I didn't like was that we were only there for one night.
Lovely old building in the centre of Montgomery. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good .
The room we had was tired and quite old fashioned. For example, the bath had an old style mixer unit, which you virtually had to kneel down to use to avoid flooding the bathroom floor, given that there was no shower screen of any kind.
Good wifi & very nice staff in restaurant portion
Very friendly staff. Quirky old building. Bed very comfortable and clean. Nice little tea tray. Bottled water provided. Hairdryer provided. On site restaurant very good with reasonable prices. Breakfast very generous with excellent home made bread. Easy to park car.
Minor housekeeping issue reported to reception. Room was in eaves so bath had hand shower attachment but mo separate shower cubicle as there was no room for it. Floor was very creaky.

A bit of a trek to our room but its a 400 hundred year old property well worth it.
Great room, very clean, breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We were bike packing and the4 hotel staff were more than helpful storing our bikes in a secure shed on the premises.
Couldn't connect to the wifi. When the place was busy connection couldnt be established. When we eventually did connect, service was very slow. I had faster 5g service when i found an area that it worked in.
The hotel itself was great. Staff lovely. Good breakfast. Somewhere to keep our bikes as we were on a cycle tour.Would love to come back again.
I was in Room 17. Not a problem that it was up a couple of flights of stairs. The issue was the low, head height beam, between the bedroom and the en suite bathroom. Beware getting up in the night and walking into it. Other than that the hotel was great.
Food was good. I was very happy to have a bath!
Our room had very low beams which was an issue for my 6ft son.

Interesting old building. The hotel has a relaxed, informal vibe. Staff friendly and helpful. Room cosy and comfortable. Dinner menu not extensive but there are specials and food is good quality, well cooked and good portions. Excellent breakfast.
