Good stay for one night and comfortable nights sleep.
Pros:

Room only as meeting family

Cons:

The bed head had a strange cover over it and I wondered what was underneath. The window was rotten & in need of repair. Cups in room were too small. Overall room was tired and old fashioned. But hotel now a 3 star not a 4 star as previously so did expect some issues.

Impressed would stay again without hesitation.
Pros:

All the staff were fantastic, from check in to the restaurant and bar. Initially the rooms were not a close together, but on request moved me for no charge. Enjoyed an excellent evening meal and would recommend the restaurant.

Cons:

Manageable with a companion but the heavy doors into the room were a problem. The small tv was very far away!

Pros:

Good location, plenty of parking, large clean rooms, attentive staff, a good variety of choice for dinner and excellent breakfast for the price.

Cons:

Check in was slow but that may be down to a trainee member of staff.

Pros:

My room wasn't attached to the hotel it was tucked away at the back. It was very clean and a beautiful building with lots of history. Perfect location for where i was staying. I was travelling alone and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Peaceful and asked for ground floor and got one of the cottages on ground floor, bed was so comfy we slept so well ... went into reasutarant and had a meal , staff were amazing and food was up to a high standard , id recommend the fish and chips ... thankyou for having us 😁

Cons:

There was nothing to not like it was a lovely and peaceful night for us and we will definetly return when next football game on in west brom

Disappointed
Pros:

Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Breakfast had cereals and pastries laid out and you then ordered your breakfast which was cooked for you. The breakfast was good.
Large car park with ample spaces. Very near centre of Shifnal.

Cons:

Room was very tired and really needed renovated as did the whole of the hotel the window surrounds in our room were rotted and the Roman blind was held up by string on either side.
Breakfast room seemed to have been recently done up and was much more modern than the rest of the hotel.
Coffee was from a machine and like all these machines the coffee isn’t very warm and really tasteless. There were not enough clean cups and it was difficult to find a member of staff to get clean cups, as the waitress was very busy with taking orders.
Staff were friendly enough but there did not seem to be enough of them to the ratio of guests.
All in all a disappointing stay.
