Friendly staff, large room
Quite hard to navigate
Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast too
Couldn't stay longer
Easy to find
Near train station and very peaceful
Plenty of parking, a nice spacious room, good breakfast.
Due to building work and lack of clear signs, entry to the hotel wasn’t straight forward.
Lovely room. Big bed, big bath. Very spacious. Quick to get into Telford for a Conference the next day. Staff were great and decent enough breakfast.
It was a bit tired and could do with some TLC. It's a huge hotel, and needs some money spent on it.
Location. Right in the centre of Shifnal and has lots of parking.
Nothing
Nothing
Unclean and dated qith mold smell in rooms
Great location for seeing the area, breakfast quite good quality. High ceiling room with opening window. Plenty of parking.
We stayed in hot weather and rooms had no a/c - duvet provided was winter weight so slept under just the cover. Rooms and corridors all very old/worn decoration, and redecorated public areas were not well designed.
We received excellent value for money.
Breakfast was varied and presented very well.
There was water in the room.
Everything we needed for our quick stop over
There was a small amount of building work but nothing that interfered with our stay.
Plumbing problems in room 23 , toilet wouldn't flush and poor water flow from taps
Nice comfortable old style hotel.Staff were very helpful.
Good breakfast.
As with most hotels nowadays no decent draught beer.
Location, room was clean
Noise from a party, banging music until 1am, room was clean but very tired and outdated. Breakfast was poor, not hot, barely warm, very greasy. Overalls it's a shame because this hotel used to be top notch, but now it looks like an old hotel trying to keep current
Clean
Not in the South of France or Mediterranean
Location a lovely listed building
Window frames rotting and the cottages need new doors
Really pleased with our stay. Our room exceeded all expectations, it was very spacious and fully equipped with a luxurious bathroom. The room was great value for money. We also had an evening meal which again exceeded expectations with great service, big portions, good food and very reasonably priced. Lots of car parking and an easy check in. We will definitely look to stay here again when in the area. Really handy being able to walk along the high street from the bar garden.
Nothing major. It’s a large, slightly confusing building so be prepared to do some walking to get to your room. But we can’t fault the service or the room we were given.
