Love the homey feel of lobby- plants, games available and complimentary happy hour was a nice touch. Overall, staff was very friendly and outgoing. I was very comfortable and love the deck with access to river walk below.
Excellent hospitality, cleanliness, communication
Loved it! Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Had a two-bedroom suite for a family event in town. The space was clean, nicely decorated and perfect for our family. Breakfast is standard with lots of choices.

We saw reviews on TripAdvisor that warned about cars being stolen. Not something that’s happened in the past few years, according to a Rochester police officer we met in the parking lot.
And the breakfast was amazing - lots of healthy and tasty options beyond the usual breakfast bar.

I never (ever) write reviews, especially not for hotels, and never the same day as checkout, but the Staybridge Suites Hotel Rochester deserves recognition and sets the bar high—not just for its category, but across the board.
The suites are genuinely spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a full kitchen (full-size microwave, dishwasher and fridge) and well-stocked table settings—including real glassware in multiple sizes—more comfortable apartment than a budget hotel room.
Amenities were consistently high quality and offered generously. Breakfast included fresh berries continually replenished, coffee was excellent and available throughout the day, and every surface and station was maintained and inviting.
The hotel’s details felt intentional: real plants (succulents) on the lobby tables, beds with genuinely comfortable linens and pillows and the public spaces invited you to linger.
Above all, the staff was universally courteous, warm and genuinely helpful without ever feeling scripted.
I’ve come to expect a gap between what hotels promise and what they deliver—underwhelming buffets, token “perks,” cramped suites and spaces that feel transactional. None of that applies here. This place delivers on its promises and then some.
The staff were so friendly. I was always greeted with a hello or have a good day. The breakfast was delicious each day and very filling. The room was spacious with great amenities.

The noise. Some of the other occupants would yell and argue at early morning hours.
