It is a small and very comfortable hotel
The only thing i hated was the rain shower, its difficult especially for a woman to shower
Absolutely nothing, this hotel is not fit for purpose and you should not be advertising it through Booking.com. You assume it has been checked out. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL, unfortunately I can only send pictures of the shabby bathroom, as the rest was by video. The first couple show the outside base of the shower. Also there was no daily freshen up of the room.
The rooms are tiny, shabby with 1970's decor, torn and peeling wallpaper, chipped tiles in the bathroom, shower screen held together with tape. Disgusting odour of cooking oil which permeates through the gaps around the doors and the bathroom vent (and I use the term lightly). All of my clothes stank within 30 minutes of being in the room and I had to buy some fabreze. I thought I had booked a double room for single occupancy, well it was barely room enough for one. It was absolutely disgusting. Tatty old mish mash of furniture which again had been around since the 70s/80s. Oh nearly forgot the flat screen tv was a 14inch screen no bigger than a computer screen on the wall. The wardrobe or hanging space is non existent, there is a cheap plastic hook rack over the top of the door with branded shop coat hangers. There is no bar or restaurant for an evening meal as described. Breakfast is a shoddy affair, one egg, one piece of bacon, one sausage, sliced cold tomato and beans are the choice for hot food and you basically get a child's portion. The continental consists of packet bought cakes and tiny croissants, selection of juices are out of a carton. Absolutely shocking I did not realise that these types of hotels still exist. They get a lot of over oversees visitors and I also think they get a lot of early check outs. I only stayed because I was on a short 3 day visit to do sight seeing and just used it as a base to sleep. Had I booked for longer I would not have accepted the room in the first place and would have immediately sought alternative accommodation whether they refunded me or not. The taxi driver that collected me to take me back to the station on my final evening (called by the hotelier) had collection several other customers over time and they all said it was the most appalling place they had ever stayed. He asked me as soon as I got in and told him that it was absolutely disgusting and not as described.
Freundliche Gastgeber
Sauberkeit
Near to the bus stop, easy to get to the town center, good value. Friendly and warm staff.
The room was small and so as the shower room but still good value for money.
The breakfast was spectacular. The server asked us what we would like to eat, made tea and toast. The staff was really nice and helped any time we needed it.
The room was really small and the bathroom was tiny. You can barely move in the bathroom. It did not bother us that much because we were mostly out and about.
Friendly staff
Room seemed to have damp on wall
We were greeted by very attentive staff, and the location was very convenient. It had some shortcomings, but it was a good value-for-money hotel. It was spotlessly clean. The warm English breakfast, prepared in a very warm setting in the morning, particularly put a smile on our faces.
We would like a microwave and a wardrobe in the room.
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Different room choices available.
