Excellent location. Excellent staff.
Some good items for breakfast.
My room was next to what I think must have been pipework as each night around midnight/ 1am there was a loud droning sound with additional banging/knocking making it impossible to sleep. For over £150 per night this was unacceptable. Very disappointing. I bought amd used earplugs for the third night, but should not have had to do that.
The gluten-free toast was never properly toasted. It remained white on one side and toasted on the other. Again, for the price I paid for this trip (having saved up hard to afford it) I wasn't impressed.

Overlooking the River
Nothing
All the staff were extremely helpful from check in, the gym and pool reception to the lovely ladies at breakfast.
The pool was very cold when I stayed, but there was matainance work going on pool side, so would expect it will soon be fixed.
Great location. Breakfast is good, but could improve. Room size is very good.
Long queue at the bar to get a drink and order food at night.
Comfortable room overlooking river, very clean throughout and good food (poached eggs etc cooked to order at breakfast). Pool, Sauna etc were all good.
The car parking is charged extra - which i only knew a couple of days in advance and is expensive (£17 per day). I appreciate that hotel doesnt own parking but it should be more explicit in hotel description or at booking that this is an extra cost.
better than other hôtels in area
food
Location was good.
Lets start with the room. We booked a Junior Suite. The room was an odd shape so much so I had to squeeze through a small space to get to the bathroom. There were no biscuits with the tea/coffee tray. I had asked housekeeping to replace the conditioner in the shower which was not done,. The shower was very small and the shower pressure was not very strong at all. The sofa and the chairs were hard as nails and very uncomfortable to sit on which meant relaxing in the evening was impossible. Breakfast. Although ok, the eggs were watery, the sausages were dry. Room Service. Charging us £5 extra for someone to bring food up to the room is in my view a rip off. Secondly when I ordered a glass of Malbec I was told they only do it by the bottle , but I could order Shiraz by the glass!! I had asked the mananger, but she was unable to give me any sound reasoning as to why I could order Shiraz by the glass and not Malbec. When housekeeping came to do the room they did not vacum the room , just adjusted the duvet and the pillows and did not replace any of the bathroom accessories as in a razor, shaving cream, bath salts.
The room was spacious. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
Disappointed that the steam room was out of order. No biscuits provided with the tea & coffee in the room.
