Excellent stay.
Pros:

We stayed at the Melia Madeira Mare and as usual with Melia hotels the service was excellent, the rooms were spacious and the hotel was super clean, at breakfast we were given a lot of choice which is what we expect. We had our return flights delayed by two days due to wind at the airport. No matter what we asked the staff to help with they pulled out all the stops from allowing us to stay in our existing room for the further two days to sorting our return transfers to the airport. Thank you so much for all the help. The hotel was excellent but the whole experience was made perfect because the staff were so good.

Pros:

Ужины были великолепные , еда идеальная . Обслуживание ни высшем уровне . Особенно хотим выделить господина Ленина он создавал атмосферу праздника каждый вечер.

Cons:

Очень не понравился завтрак. Меню не менялось за весь период. Круасанты, булочки , блины , оладьи были приготовлены не вкусно . Ветчина , колбасы были отвратительные.

Great resort-style hotel with everything you'd want for an easy holiday. Sea-view rooms are huge
Pros:

We had an enormous, well-equipped room with a great view of the sea and the outdoor pool below. The balcony was also large. The pool area wasn't too busy as we visited during the off-season (late February). Very good breakfast with plenty of options and the staff were unfailingly friendly.

Cons:

The hotel is in the Lido area of Funchal, which is very much like a large holiday resort. This is fine and the area is nice, but those looking for a more authentic Madeira experience might want to stay elsewhere.

Csodálatos kilátás az óceánra, kellene szoba, segítőkész személyzet, jó elhelyezkedés.

Cons:

A reggeli minden nap ugyanaz, és a vacsora sem túl sokszínű. Bár a kínálat napról napra változik, és a sütemények kifejezetten finomak, cserébe a levesek feledhetők. Csirkét egész héten, ha egyszer készítettek, viszont marha és sokféle hal minden nap volt.

A spa hangulatos, a kondi a képekhez képes némileg kevésbé felszerelt.

Die Lage: nah am Meer, gute Anbindung ans Zentrum von Funchal mit mehreren Buslinien

Cons:

Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption konnten nicht gut beraten zu den Möglichkeiten, mit dem Bus Funchal & Gegend zu erkunden (Karte der Buslinien, mehrtägige Bustickets etc.)
Auch zu den Levada Wegen in der Umgebung konnten sie nicht gut beraten.

Pros:

Os funcionários, o pequeno-almoço, o espaço envolvente, a localização, a garagem e o respetivo acesso.

Cons:

Mobiliário de quarto, louças de casa de banho e toalhas envelhecidas. Colchão péssimo e débito de água fraco.

Nice hotel, food not good, don't think I'd go again.
Pros:

The location and room was really nice. We were very happy we were a little outside Funchal. The hotel was very clean, and lovely and bright.

Cons:

We got breakfast and dinner included because we went at Xmas time and both meals were very disappointing. Quality wasn't great, and it was so hard to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Dinners were horrible to be honest. And the room was lacking atmosphere. They forgot us completely on Xmas Eve and we got no dessert or coffee. If ever going again I would not eat in the hotel, there are to many nice alternatives around the hotel.
