Great location. Lovely room. Large bathroom.
All good although we were lucky to park outside. Might be a little bit more of a walk to your car if you had to park in the public car park.
Lovely room. Great staff
Good 24h access and check-in options
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms. We especially appreciated the upgrades to a larger room, given that we were on a long trip with lots of luggage.
Disappointed that the shared facilities like kitchen, lounge, laundry etc. that we've used on previous stays are no longer available, but still a lovely place for a short stay if travelling without too much luggage.
Great location in Bampton. Lovely village.
Rooms fab, hosts great. Recommend!
Friendly welcome, comfortable room and ideal location in central Bampton
Not sure I actually liked that much. The host is friendly.
On the search through Booking.com it was listed as a hotel. It is not. It is an Air B&B. It also shows free parking so one might expect parking. There is none. There is a public car park about 300 yards away. There is very limited places to eat in the evening and advise you book in advance. There are tea and coffee facilities, but theses are outside of the room so you have to get dressed first. we were there for two nights and the area was not cleaned so dirty tea bags and cups left. Our room was so small there was no were to but our bags except in the shower room. The bed was as hard as sleeping on the floor but might suite some. There is a TV but the reception is so poor you can't use it.
We needed to stay one night in Bampton, with flexibility on arrival times, so the property was convenient for what we needed.
Personally the set-up just wasn't for us. Sharing kitchen and dining facilities made me feel like I was back at university or in a youth hostel. For the cost per night, I was surprised by this. Also our room was cramped with only a bedside table on one side of the bed. Just wasn't comfortable.
Delightful town, great central location, rooms a little lacking - no wardrobe, no draws, heating was a little hit and miss, no bedside table for one side of the bed, but it is an old property and they have done a good job with the space they have, and the kitchen, reception and dinning room are all super
Easy to access
Fridge had items in there over 3 weeks out of date
Bin was full of rubbish and not emptied
No hand towels
No cupboard or places to hang your clothes
Nothing to dry up with
Taxis costing £50 for a short drive from the station
The house was very cosy and comfortable. Perfect location. We were only 2 but it would be great to take the whole place. Bampton is a lovely village. Would recommend The Swan Pub for fabulous food. Coffee at 6 on Castle Sunday morning, very good. The car park is so close to the property, so not a problem at all.
Not much at all. Would suggest maybe a lick of paint on the hallway.
location and price
The room was cramped and it was very difficult to get into the bed on one side. There was practically nowhere to hang clothes, only a few pegs. The kitchen was not as well equipped as suggested-only one teaspoon! The fridge had two out of date milk bottles. The dining room is a dark (No windows) cave, and the lounge lights could not be turned off.
