It was comfortable and the location was spot on for my reason to be in Dublin
The shower, there is more room in a phone box. I felt like I was in a coffin, I’m not a big man 5’8’’under 12 stone. There is no way a big man could wash himself in the shower in room 364. They didn’t know how big I wash before I got there. Would never stay in that room again or any room with that size shower in it. But having said that I won’t let this stop me from staying there again. But I would need a guarantee that my room has a decent size shower. For reason above I don’t feel I got value for money.
Location to Aviva was good. Hotel main lobby was very nice The food we had at the Grandstand restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The weather was warm and this room we stayed in had no aircon which made nights very uncomfortable. The pillows seemed to be the hardest pillows myself and my friend have ever slept on. I'm a frequent hotel user so have some experience of others. House keeping were unable to change them to anything softer. The rooms were a bit dated and the TV was very small and picture quality not great. On the Sunday morning in spite being down early enough for breakfast lots of items were not replenished in the time we were there-no bacon scrambled eggs no hash browns.
It was extremely warm weather during our visit and the room had portable fans which made us so comfortable. Food was delicious too.
