Hotel Zero 1

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in November for a few days. We were in the city for a concert.
First, the positives. The beds were clean and comfortable (they mistakenly put us in a room with two queens instead of one king, which is what we asked for). We had a great view of downtown, the shower pressure is great and there was a cute little coffee bar area with fridge and microwave.
Negatives - our room was not cleaned for nearly our entire stay, despite several requests to front desk to have this done. We were told repeatedly it would be done by end of day, and when we returned after sightseeing, it was still not done. We arrived on Saturday morning and left Tuesday morning, and it was done Monday around 4 pm. Otherwise not touched. Manager gave us coupons for the breakfast as an apology.
-Elevator smelled like vomit, then later smelled very strongly of disinfectant for the rest of our stay.
-Breakfast buffet was not fresh. The food was cold, and there was no juice offered.

So, overall it was an okay stay. We were not thrilled with the service, but we are experienced travellers and we managed. Great location and comfortable rooms, but just be mindful of the poor food options and service.

The hotel has a very central location, perfect for exploring the city. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and nicely designed, with clean facilities and great bedding. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the stylish atmosphere. However, there are a few areas for improvement: cleaning is only provided if requested the day before, which can be inconvenient. I also wished they allowed a later checkout. The check-in process and elevator lines were quite long, and it would have been nice to have milk or creamer available for coffee. Despite these small issues, it’s a pleasant and convenient place to stay.

This was a terrific hotel at this price point! We had to find a place to stay at the last minute and took a chance on this vs a more expensive option nearby. Win! The rooms are well-appointed, the fridge is quite large and stays cold, and the wardrobe is large. We will probably stay again.

It looks homily and comfortable

Yes kitchen was fully equipped. However, toilet roll holder in washroom was broken and roll was falling down. Stand shower in washroom was small and on top of that it did neither had sliding door nor curtain, therefore taking shower was inconvenient because of risk of water spill into the washroom floor.

Great stay

Beautiful, spacious, clean room. This hotel is in a clean safe area of the city. Parking was difficult so we used the valet parking and our car sat out in the street for about an hour before it was parked….the staff on hand at the time was a bit cold and aloof, not welcoming at all.

Great location, lots of fun nearby. Nice, clean, spacious rooms. Fitness room is small, could be a little more furnished. Nevertheless, I keep coming back, as the price is good.

Great custumer service, location and bedroom.

It was ok, service a littéralement slow.

This is a return stay for us on our way back to the states. We were given a corner suite as a free upgrade. Unfortunately the room is located next to the elevator shaft in which the bedroom is sharing a wall with the elevator. It was very loud. I went downstairs and asked for a different room. I was embarrassed for ask for a downgrade but the room just won't work for us. That elevator was really loud. The front desk accommodated my request and I apologized for seeming ungrateful for their intended upgrade. They said I wasn't the first one to complain about it so not to worry. I do appreciate their understanding. Some of the vinyl floors are showing signs of heavy wear. Maybe they can do something about this.

Amazing panorama room for an excellent price right in Chinatown

Great staff, however the room was not well-maintained.

Room was a large size however on the last 2 nights of our stay the wifi stopped working. The front desk tried to help by logging us into their other server which was still a little spotty but works. We were give complimentary breakfast for 1 day for our trouble. The breakfast was ok because it was free of charge but if I were to pay for that I wouldn't be happy. I think the hotel can do better with their breakfast. Other than this all staff that we interacted with front of the house and back of the house(housekeeper) are super great. They anticipate your needs and are very helpful. We love this place. We are coming back for a 2nd stay in a few days. Glad we booked our return stay here instead of somewhere else.

Clean rooms. Great staff. Perfect location for accessing Old Montreal, Chinatown, Cathedral and Metro. Nice breakfast plus numerous dining options in the immediate area. Apparently thick walls, windows as our room was very quiet even with a busy floor and Rue Rene Levesque right aside. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at again.

Excellent location. On the 747 Bus route from Pierre Trudeau International Airport. Great good venues nearby, short walk to Old Montreal

Good location. Limited staff at checkin so longer wait than expected. Not impressed by breakfast as tables were not clean, warm food was tepid at most. Restaurant has only limited menu. Not an issue as plenty of restaurants all around

It was in a great location for sight seeing and being able to walk around old montreal and chinatown.

ZERO1 is at a great location clove to Complex DesJardins with many shops and dining options and the IGA Supermarket (very convenient) and the hotel is well kept. If you get the rate with breakfast you can enjoy a self-service good breakfast at the restaurant directly accessible from inside the hotel. My only observation is that the internet was kind of choppy during my stay and the temperature control is not local to your room. You have to call Front Desk so they change your temperature settings remotely which the temperature variation during Fall was a bit frustrating. Other than that, overall I had a good experience.
