Guest check in on a Sunday is 15:00-22:00, anyone wishing to check-in after this must contact the hotel to make alternative check-in arrangements.

The Room 12 shower temperature ranged from cold to scalding and took an age between these variations. This was the only negative aspect….

The bed was too firm for me, so slept badly. Very unpleasant drain smell from shower area. Not noticed on arrival as the bathroom door was closed and I went straight out. Returned to the smell-too late to speak to anyone. It was dealt with the next day, when informed. The sun poured in, in the morning which made the room very warm. Some blinds would be good
Breakfast was high quality and extremely tasty. Service was excellent. Room was spacious, clean and warm. Proximity to theatre.
When we visited the hotel was hosting a wedding party so parking was limited.
Charming old building, full of character. Very centrally located, across the road from the old Priory church. The room was comfortable and had (almost*) everything we needed, with an extremely comfortable bed. There was a problem with the shower, and the bath was dangerously slippery, but we were given a mat for the bath when we asked for one (*should already have been available in the room), and the shower was repaired while we were having dinner.
Restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful, food was good.
Overall a "pleasant" stay at Mount Pleasant Hotel.
A walk-in shower would have been preferable for us, but we were in a family room so understand why there was a bath with a shower over.
