Probably won’t stay again after using this hotel 3 times a year for several years

Over charged by €21 and requested refund to 2 members of Reception team who said they would request their manager to refund and still not received!!

Fantastic value for money!!
Pros:

Excellent location. Meal in restaurant was outstanding as was the welcome and service.

Cons:

Some confusion over where to check-in/ have breakfast etc as it is a huge site and signage wasn’t great.

Good location, accommodation passable.
Pros:

Great location and interesting buildings.

Cons:

Only 1 towel for 2 guests, and loud noise from an electrical cupboard. We checked in too late to make a fuss about it, but would have been nice if it was as we would have expected.

L'emplacement

Cons:

Aucun personnel à l'accueil lors de notre arrivée.
Il fallait se rendre dans un établissement à proximité pour l'enregistrement.
Pas de bouteille d'eau dans leq chambres. Pas de possibilité de prendre une boisson chaude ou froide à notre arrivée.
Buffet du petit déjeuner très limité.
Rapport qualité prix décevant.
Je ne conseille absolument pas cet établissement et je n'y reviendrai pas.

Pros:

Stunning location, the grounds of the hotel are beautiful, the rooms are big and airy, full of character. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

Mix up with the payment, meaning we paid twice for the rooms, waiting for this to be resolved. Staff were very apologetic about it and promised to get it sorted ASAP.

A beautiful setting. The room was large,well appointed and very comfortable.

Cons:

The booking said tea and coffee facilities would be available in the room. This was not available nor was a kettle available as at our last visit.
The check in system needs to be improved and be much more welcoming.

Nicht noch einmal.
Pros:

Das gesamte Umfeld, die Gebäude und die Lage sind sehr schön.

Cons:

Leider konnten wir die vielen positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Es fing damit an, dass die Rezeption nicht besetzt war und wir nach einigem hin und her herausfanden, dass wir im Nachbarhotel einchecken mussten. Die ganze Anlage wirkte ziemlich verwaist, nirgends war jemand zu finden und Gäste waren auch kaum da. Wir hatten eine Juniorsuite und es ist alles schon sehr verwohnt. Zudem war das Zimmer nicht sauber und überall waren Spinnweben. Dann waren es so Kleinigkeiten wie der Stöpsel in der Badewanne, der fehlte, es gab für 3 Personen eine Klopapierrolle die zu 3/4 aufgebraucht war, Zimmertelefon funktionierte nicht.
Außer uns wohnte dort kaum jemand, ein paar Gäste mehr waren nebenan im Schlosshotel, wo auch der Check-in und das Frühstück waren. Das Frühstück war relativ teuer und sehr einfach. Kaffee aus einem Automaten und alles sehr lieblos.
Von den drei Restaurants hatte nur eins geöffnet, das Vasco. Auch das war sehr schlecht. Wir hatten Steak bestellt welches leider kalt war, Sonderwünsche wurden ignoriert, Getränke wurden teilweise gar nicht gebracht, Sauce wurde ohne einen Löffel gebracht. Als wir zahlen wollten, mussten wir 30 Minuten warten, in der Zeit wurde der Tisch auch nicht abgeräumt. Die Kellnerinnen standen teilweise vorm Lokal und rauchten. Die Küche hat eine Tür zum Innenhof, die die ganze Zeit offen stand, was die Katze der Anlage sehr erfreulich fand.
Man hat das Gefühl, dass die Anlage bald schließt und keiner der Angestellten mehr Lust hat dort zu arbeiten.

Very quiet location, beautiful room, full of historic character and lovely gardens.

Cons:

No pastries at breakfast on the first morning, which seemed to be noted by staff and were not replenished. Considering the price of the breakfast I would expect these to have been offered. Tea- and coffee-making facilities in the room would also have been appreciated.

Rymliga rum.
Ett av rummen luktade väldigt illa. Vi fick ett nytt direkt.
Bra resturang.

Cons:

Frukosten var väldigt dålig. Damen som jobbade där kunde inte ett engelska. Plockade heller inte fram mer mat när det var slut. Allt tog tyvärr slut.

We like the hotel but not sure if we will go back

Cons:

the room initially offered , Queen Comfort, had air con but was much like a very tired room in a uk hotel chain.
needed a refresh. No tea and coffee machine, no hot drink making facilities. Did have a fridge but not very efficient.
We upgraded to a luxury room in the block opposite restaurant. Vaulted brick , real character but an extra 30 euros.
This time no air con and only one hand towel in total for both of us.
