Hotel Arco Iris

Second time there. We have enjoyed our stays both times. Would stay again if we ever revisit Tamarindo.

A good location

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good along with the coffee! The pool area is nice and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. All around a great experience especially for the price.

Booked a 7 night stay with our 17 yr old daughter , for our 3rd week in Costa Rica as we moved to Tamarindo.
Once we arrived in town realised it wasn’t for us at all and hotel really just a nice back packing place to stay for a night or two.
We paid a lot of money for the stay then booking. Com dropped prices by over 60%!
So check prices as definitely not worth amount we paid.
Room fine and clean but that’s it really.
Breakfast limited to 6 choices but both hubby and daughter don’t eat eggs and 5 choices had eggs!!! So limited to basic fruit salad no melon or mango and some yogurt every day. Only orange juice offered
Free coffee available during day usually cold and none freshly made.
Beach towels and water filter nice touch.
If we hadn’t paid out what we did would have moved to beachfront location as not a particularly nice walk by grotty road through back packers town to beach.
Anyone over age 25 best to avoid Tamarindo all together as much nicer places to go .

Perfect location, very safe and staff is excellent. Rooms are comfortable, clean and the hammocks are wonderful for relaxing.

Wir haben ein paar Tage im Arco Iris verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das frisch zubereitete Frühstück hat uns sehr geschmeckt. Besonders geschätzt haben wir die Tipps zu Ausflügen und Restaurants, die uns Fredy gegeben hat. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder, denn das Hotel ist ruhig und trotzdem sehr zentral gelegen.

We had a great time staying in our bungalow at Hotel Arco Iris! The staff was super friendly and accommodating for our entire stay. The bungalow felt like our own little piece of luxury, and the hotel is located close to downtown Tamarindo but is a short walk away which gives it a nice sense of privacy.

✨ My experience at Hotel Arco Iris was fantastic! The rooms were very clean and came with a wonderfully spacious king-size bed. The pool is in the central part of the property right off the lobby / restaurant / Hangout spot...and 24/7 coffee bar. The only unique aspect, which isn't a fault of the hotel, is the howler monkeys – they can be loud in the early morning, but for me it was comforting & *usually* there's enough time in between howls to fall asleep. Ha! The hotel staff was super friendly - I had a few hours to spare after checkout and before I needed to head to my next destination, and they stored two pieces of my luggage, one very oversized, at no cost. When I have such a pleasurable state at a place like this, It really makes or breaks it trip to a new city...& The Hotel Arco Iris is definitely a big reason why I will be coming back to Tamarindo. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Very clean room and property. Easy walk to shopping, dining, and the beach.

Fantastic location with beautiful pool and breakfast areas. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The laundry service was a life saver. The room was small but comfortable.

We absolutely loved this hotel from check in to check out and everything in between. It was close to the action, but far enough to where you didn't have to deal with noise. The back gate to the "alleyway" directly to central road was absolutely perfect so you didn't have to walk down the rocky dirt road near the front entrance. The front desk was always friendly and readily available for any requests we may have had. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. Breakfast here is fantastic too. 100% recommend this hotel and I hope to return soon!

Beautiful quiet hotel tucked back off the road. It was nice being in a little sanctuary where you can easily get to everything but not hear the party noises at night. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable with good air conditioning. Breakfast is included so you can eat by the pool and gorgeous garden. It is a very short walk to everything you could want--the beach, bars, night market and many places to eat. The staff, including Freddy and Harry, were very hospitable and friendly. Our rooms were in a lovely garden with hammocks and chairs right in front. The pool was lovely and very clean. Would highly recommend!

My room was immaculate & very updated. The staff was friendly and courteous. They gave wonderful suggestions for food, beaches & adventures. My family had great time.. Special shout out to Freddy for all his hospitality & help

Good… room a tad warm prior arrival. Bland decor but overall nice room. Up staples definitely reminded us of entering a tree fort . 10 minute walk to shopping. No uber.

We stayed for four nights at the beginning of a 10-day visit to Costa Rica. We were looking for somewhere walkable to town and the beach, but with a pool where we could relax in the shade reading in the hot afternoons. Arco Iris was perfect! We stayed in room #2 - one of the individual cabinas with a covered porch and hammock. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom and dressing area, excellent AC, and perfect porch for watching birds and monkeys.

Daily breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Lots of options (I think we tried them all!), coffee available all day, a cold water dispenser, and so much space to sit and chill - shade or sun. The pool was refreshing and always clean, and the vibe was super chill.

Highly recommend and would be at the top of our list if we return to Tamarindo.

Beautiful and quiet location. Excellent staff. Easy parking. Though Tamarindo was crowded, you’d never know it while there. Delicious breakfast option to boot.
