the breakfast is excellent with a good choice, both hot & cold. The evening meals are also very, very good, and the restaurant overlooking the river makes for a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and bright with lovely river views and the hotel is conveniently situated for access to the town centre. It is peaceful and quiet in the evenings and overnight. The staff are always helpful, professional and polite.

Location, staff, food were all lovely.
Single bed mattress needs replacing, however, they added a mattress topper which helped. The room beds were made next day but cups not changed and hospitality tray not replenished, again rectified on asking with no fuss.

The Food was great, the location was very good
The room allocated to me did not have a full-sized shower, which was inconvenient given that I have mobility issues and am unable to use a bath. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated at the time of booking. Additionally, the window blinds did not fully extend across the windows.

All of it was brilliant from check in to check out breakfast lunch excellent my only complaint was as my main meal I had pork schnitzel and the crumb on the pork was really hard and the pork was quite hard to eat
Nothing could have been better apart from my meal there was nothing else not to like apart from the steep walk up to the top the location is lovely so there isn’t anything you can’t like about it that’s it.

Superb room. Shame about the 3 flights of stairs. Excellent chef and food. Staff very helpful and friendly. We go back every year.
Beccles is my spiritual home.
Carpark can fill up with non residents, making it hard for people to park. Especially if you are disabled. But to be fair the staff will try to help you.Some rooms and beds were beginning to look a little tired and beds were uncomfortable. But these things are being addressed and refitment and updating is taking place.
