The room was too nice - I didn't want to leave!
Pros:

I didn't realise when I booked this room 3 months earlier, that I would never want to leave!! The room was super cosy when we arrived late in the afternoon. and the beds were feather soft, just how I like them. The buffet breakfast in the morning was top shelf, with all the usual suspects including eggs, bacon, beans and little mini croissants (my personal favourite :) ). I am already planning a long weekend getaway with my sisters, just to enjoy the Rees again!

The facilities & shuttle bus service are excellent. Staff are very helpful, and polite.
Pros:

Location is good, only 10mins to city centre. The Rees provides a shuttle bus service to & from town. This is very convenient as you don’t have to find parking, or have a couple of drinks. The view over the lake, and snow covered mountains in the background is a vision splendid.

Cons:

Getting in and out of the property due to the busy roadway.

You Could Live Here Forever!
Pros:

The Rees was our final hotel in New Zealand and what a perfect way to end our adventure, a realization of a dream trip to this fabulous country. This hotel, surprisingly gigantic with our 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment was so comfortable and had everything you needed! The plus-plus-plus for us was the comp shuttle that took you to the center. From there we had our choice of fav "to dos," e.g., tours, the Kiwi House, restaurants, etc. Oh, and for us was the unexpected benefit - our place which faced Remarkabels and had the most welcome and unexpected star filled, milky way sky.

best food in queenstown.
Pros:

WE were staying opposite of the rees hotel Airbnb. recommended Beautiful meal in the restaurant. me and husband enjoyed the trust the chef experience. However, Danish was exceptionally amazing with the service and somehow he convinced us to have Wine pairing with it. Which become memorable moment. Thank You Danish.

So enjoyed staying at The Rees Hotel and recommend it highly!
Pros:

This is a beautiful property. They upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment and it was awesome. We enjoyed the spectacular lake view. Plus it had a washer and dryer so we could do laundry while traveling. The location was good too and the room quiet. If we return to Queenstown, NZ, we definitely would stay here again. Also, professional staff who were friendly and helpful.

Great Experience
Pros:

What a great experience, I had in queenstown. Especially, The Rees Hotel. DANISH was the main attraction for us. Helped us with food selection and wine pairing. Very Chrismatic and charming personality. Highly recommended and will be back again. Amazing service.

Pros:

Wonderful stay. Obviously quite pricey but very clean and comfortable and the staff were super helpful- we were a bit early and asked to park, but the room was ready so they allowed us to check in and checked everything was alright with us.

Cons:

Nothing really. Bit further out of Queenstown, but has parking and they do have a shuttle service. Still a walkable distance even with a 5 and 7yo. Amazing views.

Overall, the stay was underwhelming and did not fully meet expectations given the price and standards of the hotel.
Pros:

The lake view room offers a direct view of the lake. Although the view is somewhat narrow, it is still a genuine waterfront view and overall quite pleasant.

Cons:

I was somewhat disappointed with my stay overall.

The cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations. There were a few hair strands on the bed sheets, and the sheets appeared wrinkled, which made me question whether they had been properly changed. The washbasin also had visible stains.

The breakfast experience was below expectations. Although breakfast was included and paid for both nights, I only chose to have it once, as the quality was not satisfactory enough for me to return the following morning.

Service at the front desk felt quite impersonal. The staff were polite but not particularly welcoming, and there was a lack of warmth that would normally make guests feel comfortable or “at home.” Some basic information regarding facilities and check-in procedures also had to be requested rather than being proactively explained.

Housekeeping could also be improved in terms of guest consideration. On one occasion, staff knocked and asked whether cleaning was required despite being aware that the room was occupied, which disturbed my rest.

Overall, while the hotel has potential, my experience did not fully match the price level or expectations for this type of accommodation.
