Coach House Hotel

Staying at the coach house hotel great bar and welcoming people and Just had the best smashed burger I have had in years brilliant

Bar was very small and unable to sit due more than 10 people in there. Regulars/owners very loud and not very welcoming.
Food was poor and certainly not worth the price.
Dinner we had a lasagne which felt was very pre made extra cheese put on top and microwaved. Fries? Supposed to be made of potato? Just seemed to be crisps.
Breakfast was not welcomed in - no presence of staff - found the chef asked if we could have full English which had certainly seen better days I’m sure the bacon was a few days old very rubbery un edible.
Room was extremely small - very small double bathroom couldn’t swing a cat in let alone wash and dry comfortably.

Disgusting, stuff of no idea about food or preparation or hygiene. Cigarette butts literally all over the place outside hundreds of them. Won't take 2 minutes to sweep up. All from the owner or manager I imagine, If the place was run differently it could be wonderful. Not sure who owns it but they should change their management.

It's 3 star, so I wasn't expecting the earth. Room was clean.
Unwelcoming bloke in the bar, probably because I had the audacity to interrupt his Sunday evening. Same unwelcoming bloke at breakfast trying to suggest I am late (which I wasn't according to both the note on the back of the door, 0930, or the lady at check in, 1100), who vaguely pointed at the hot water urn and instant coffee and couldn't give a toss he had no dairy free milk. I might have just been mildly disgruntled if the couple who appeared later hadn't been given filter coffee.
Oh, and the mushrooms were rank - cook them for longer and season them.

Staff are friendly, food is good (especially the breakfast), beer is also decent. Room was clean and as expected. The room was a little tired around the edges and the water pressure was very low but nothing problematic.
Our issue was we got caught up in a party that went on late (have a young child) and our room was right next to the exit from the bar with the other guest giving us drunken shenanigans till 1am.
Limited sleep unfortunately.

Just an overnight trip so needed something special, but the shower in our room wouldn’t full a kettle just a drip. Breakfast was ok and edible to keep us going.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff

Breakfast was good. Accommodation was very basic for price, water pressure very low , bathroom door very hard to open, sticky catch. Tv very small for size of room. Needs a deep clean. Bedding and towels were clean.

Having come from a 4 star where I paid £80 per night this place charged £110! Given that it was the only place near where I was attending a function there was little other choice.
The room we were given "you couldn't swing a cat in". It was so small, lacking in space an storage. Even half of the wardrobe was screwed shut! The galley style bathroom was a joke. The only shelf space was a 6 in X 3 in shelf above the toilet roll (unless you used the toilet seat).
The room was very cold upon arrival and the heating in the room didn't function despite staff supposedly turning it on. To top it all off we arrived back at the hotel after our function at 2130 hrs on a Saturday night expecting to be able to have a few drinks only to find the whole place locked up!
The whole experience was terrible. Of course, they charge such a high rate for this "service" because they are only five minutes from the IWM at Duxford.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Just nice to catch up with family and friends very friendly good food

A lit of nouse outside from a party that lasted past 10 pm. The free breakfast was cancelled one of the days. There is no real coffee at breakfast. Only instant.

Firstly booking the room very difficult! Website directed you to fill out a form detailing your room and dates etc. I filled it out but I didn’t get a reply. Decided to use Whats app chat bot. I got a reply which said someone would call me back to take details. They didn’t. I phoned the Whats app number and person answered and asked me to call hotel directly. So booking took 3 days!!
The hotel is very overpriced. The radiator in bathroom very rusty, no lock on bathroom door and a hole where the lock used to be, tv wires hanging in front of wardrobe space. A guest was playing loud music outside our bedroom window. Fortunately this only lasted for an hour.
Room notice displayed restaurant opening times. Nothing about email password. Went to bar area and member of staff just said it’s there and nodded to the router which displayed the information.
The room was in need of tlc. To be fair there were some modern touches and an effort to improve the decor. Bathroom towel good quality. Lots of parking spaces. There is some traffic noise but I slept despite this.
It’s such a shame that the room was extremely overpriced.

Had a one night stay booked, as we had an evening wedding reception to go to nearby. We arrived early as we wanted to have a relaxing lunch and not have to rush. Easy access off the A505, ample parking. Had a delicious lunch from a varied menu, quiet, but a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were fantastic, very attentive. The accommodation was on par with the price we paid, it did the job! Breakfast was lovely in the morning, just what we needed. Check in and out was easy.

Brilliant Sunday roast with lovely service too.
Would highly recommend a visit.
The place is well presented and great decor too.
We will be back for food again.
Will recommend to family and friends to visit for a meal and some drinks too.

Good food

Stopped for a roast on way back from Norfolk.
Had a beef and turkey roast, felt like we needed more variety in terms of veg as price was high, veg was unseasoned. I would say it was a standard roast dinner. My sons hot dog was good and he enjoyed the skin on fries which came with it.

Great location, room clean and tidy bed very confertable. Staff very helpful, Dave the owner and chole who works in the bar very friendly, chef was brilliant is pies are amazing, that nice I took to home , definitely stay again , Wayne from wolves

The service was excellent through the stay. The rooms are set in converted buildings away from the main building which overlook the common used courtyard. The evening meal was well cooked and large portions with a choice related of burgers, chicken, pizza and chips. The room was well located for Duxford and the Air Show we attended and suited us for an overnight stay.
