Fantastic stay would recommend.
Pros:

The staff were all lovely and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast at the reduced rate.

Cons:

We enjoyed using the gym. It was popular and therefore could be a bit bigger.

Cons:

We had no hand and face soap at the shower (the bottle was empty from the first day), the teas and sugar were never refilled, the water only sometimes, there were some problems with the lamps, but they were resolved. The cleanliness of the room is disappointing.

Edinburgh delights
Pros:

We really loved the professionalism of staff at the desk on arrival, handling lots of rain drenched travellers and steering us in all the right directions. Our room wasn't quite ready so we sat in the lounge area and had a lovely wine, bar staff very friendly.
Our room was great, bed was very comfy and so were the pillows. The bathroom was well spaced and we loved the towel heater! The lovely big bath was an added bonus we took advantage of.
There was lots of room for our suitcases and room to hang things.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant, it was a very tasty roast. We also had breakfast in the dining room the next day, this was also lovely, the buffet was more than enough.

Pros:

Staff was helpful very polite. When their was confusion with the readiness of one of the rooms in my group I was offered a complimentary beverage from bar. That was very nice. Issue was cleared up in less than 10 minutes.

Great hotel in central Edinburgh
Pros:

Lovely staff on reception. Breakfast had good range of options. Room was clean, quiet and cosy. Excellent central location.

Cons:

The corridor was brightly lit and the light filtered under the door at night time.
