Amazingly beautiful hotel with warm and generous service. Rafaella is in particular an amazing host and a delight who helped our stay become very memorable. After staying here we decided to change an upcoming booking elsewhere to another MGallery property in the hope the experience is a shade of this one in Rio. Recommended!

This whole experience was lovely! We stayed by the beach earlier in our trip, and it was so, so, nice to also experience a slightly quieter, more tucked away version of Rio here. The whole team was exceedingly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The atmosphere is green and peaceful. The facility is clean and modern with the historical aspects clear. Highly recommend.
We loved the local feel of Santa Teresa. The staff at this hotel were first class. Two employees stood out. Bruno on the front desk could not have been more helpful and a young waiter named Daniel in the breakfast area was so friendly that he always made us feel special. Having stayed at MGallery in Buenos Aires and Rio I would have no hesitation in staying with them in other cities
Tremendous boutique hotel on a beautiful property where the entire staff goes above and beyond. My girlfriend came down with the flu upon our arrival and the front desk team arranged for complimentary coconut waters, room service, and even a doctor visit. Special shoutout to Daniel at the restaurant who took special care of us at breakfast!
Just spend a day here making use of the pool, restaurant and the sauna. Had a great relaxing time. Food and drinks especially were really good.
Quirky, tasteful hotel, with a great view of the city. The pool was a decent size and wonderfully located in the garden next to the bar. The staff were great - and helped me sort out issues booking things. Food was lovely. Bar atmospheric. We loved the location in an old, authentic part of town and the local vibe, but others might prefer the more affluent districts in Ipanema or Copa Cobana...
The hotel is situated on an old coffee plantation and has beautiful landscaping. The front desk staff was great, but it was work to get the pool staff to even take our order. After placing the order, it took so long to be delivered that we had to cancel it. They removed the items from our bill, but not 5 star level service.
Pros: gorgeous grounds, solid breakfast, spacious rooms (they gave us an upgraded room, which was appreciated), bohemian neighborhood with great spots for a quick beer or upscale dining
Cons: cloudy pool (didn’t even get in it looked so bad), pool staff, snoozy hotel bar, A/C in room never actually cooled our top floor room
We had a breakfast to celebrate our 2 years anniversary, and the service from Mr Aroldo was outstanding. The food was amazing, quality of ingredients, taste, variety, everything was perfect.

Hotel lindo, com muita natureza, você se sente em um oásis. Quarto extremamente cheiroso, funcionários atenciosos, tudo muito charmoso e bem cuidado. Tem um ofurô delicioso, além da piscina. Café da manhã impecável e tudo o que pedi no restaurante estava maravilhoso. Recomendadíssimo!!!
Boutique hotel davvero speciale, immerso nella natura e nel fascino di un’antica villa coloniale, é possibile ammirare la caotica rio dall’alto, con vista spettacolare. Se tornassi nuovamente a Rio vorrei tornare qui, forse non per soggiorni lunghi ma una o due notti bastano per rilassarsi e vivere in esperienza unica!
