Park Inn by Radisson Peterborough

We booked the superior room which was spacious for 2 adults, comfortable, clean and well equipped with iron, ironing board, hairdryer (not attached to the wall) kettle, cups, glasses, beverages plus complimentary bottled water and popcorn. The bathroom was clean, maintained well and designed with functionality in mind. It was equipped with walk-in shower with sliding doors, a rainfall shower head plus separate shower hose with adjustable flow on the shower head. Also provided were complimentary toiletries (not toothpaste), facial tissues, vanity kit and magnifying mirror. Bath robes were also provided in addition to the towels.

The hotel's location is superb as the city centre is a 5-minute walk, so even with a 1-night stay and late checkout (additional charge) we were able to wander around before we had to check-out without having to leave our free parking space at the hotel. You must remember to register your vehicle at check-in, which covers your stay. Walked to Peterborough Cathedral and then around the shopping centre before heading back to check out. There is a cheaper car park less then a minute's drive from the hotel car park. So we parked there after check-out and then walked back into town to have lunch before heading home.

Staff at reception, restaurant and maintenance were all friendly and helpful. The eggs had run out at the breakfast buffet and I was offered freshly made scrambled eggs without having to ask. I didn't need this to happen but it was nice to be offered. It was clear the restaurant staff pay attention to what is running out or if equipment is not working effectively so guests don't need to ask for anything to be rectified or refilled.

The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice from continental, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, yoghurts, different types of bread, pastries, full English and a selection of hot beverages.

Large, comfortable room, warm, quiet, very good beds. Breakfast was great and the staff were all lovely.

Room spacious with good furniture layout, was given complimentary popcorn x 2 packs, and bottled water. Nice shower cubicle size. Welcoming helpful reception staff and nice decor of dining area. It felt like a professional touch hotel with a friendly feel.

How friendly the 2 night shift people, dont know if I am allowed to name them but paul and Liam was 2 great people. Made me and my partner laugh so much.

An Uber was able to pick us up from outside the reception area.

The staff are very friendly and d no job was too big for them very knowledgeable about the area and of the hotel, the room was amazing the suite has everything you need iron hairdryer drinks and free snack as complimentary, the bed was so comfortable I usually don't fall asleep that quickly but withing 30 mins of being in bed I was asleep and slept throughout the night, and a great variety of breakfast
