Old and very dated
The ocean view was great. In room facilities are straightforward. The kitchen and cookware provided was insufficient for anything but basic meals. Breakfast was ok or meals that didn't really require cooking, but there is a very small frypan and saucepans only. No wok or oven. Convection microwave without instructions, meant that our unfamiliarity with these devices made it less than useful. The staff were competent and friendly. Room was very clean, but in need of a little maintenance (paint starting to crack in a few places). The furniture was fine, but starting to wear out. Overall it was a nice stay that could have been great with a few improvements.
Great family resort, many things to do inside the resort, that have Squash field 👏😍
- close to beach
- close to local restaurants and shops along the Main Street
- can get pretty loud if there is an event at Lorne hotel
- amenities are great
- car parking spots are a little tight but if you have a small car no issue
- beach view was great
- would 100 % stay here again
Location is great, rooms are well sized, beds are comfy but the standout are the newly renovated pools! Large main pool, spa and a kids pool (waist deep for our 3 and 5yr olds) that also has a fountain in the middle. Kids would’ve been swimming all day if we let them. Only bad thing is they close at 6pm… 8pm would be ideal
**2/5 Stars - Disappointing Stay**
Booked a deluxe room that failed to match the website photos. Service was particularly poor - the Wednesday receptionist was unprofessional, and our room service request on day two was never fulfilled.
The pool experience was unacceptable. Staff asked my nephew to leave 10 minutes before closing time, directing him to shower in the room instead. Basic amenities were missing from the kitchen (no dish soap or hand soap), and the overall atmosphere felt apathetic.
The property lacks the aesthetic appeal advertised and falls short of basic hospitality standards.
We had a lovely 2 nights here. Accommodation and location were great.
Staff were so welcoming, friendly, professional and went above and beyond for us.
Everything was great
Centrally located, with a lot of dining options nearby.
Will come back again
Clean rooms, spacious. Great location. We enjoyed our stay very much
The pool had a chemical taste the elevators were cramped but otherwise it was exellent
We rented a two bedroom suite with an ocean view. The view was beautiful, the rooms were a bit dated and mould on the bathroom on the shower grouting - nothing major but not exactly luxury. The one issue was making the non-refundable booking and after that was made being told that the pool was shut for refurb. Would be much better to put this information out before the booking is confirmed- as that was not obvious to me beforehand.
Nice but feeling a little dated in areas (especially bathroom and kitchen), and the pool, spa was closed for renovation (of which we were only advised a week prior).
The resort wasn’t as expected as shown in the pics. The staff who checked us in ignored the request to come check the room heater and we were left cold the whole night in a cold rainy night. Next morning when went down at the reception, and explained the situation again, the lady at the reception insisted us check again as the rooms and the aircons are quite old and takes at least 10 mins to turn on. She completely ignored the fact that we tried sorting it out the whole evening. So we did what we were asked to do, then we called reception to explain the situation again. It’s then a lovely lady came to our room to check the aircon and she confirmed that she wasn’t able to fix the issue and they don’t have a maintenance person to sort it out and gave us two small heaters to use which weren’t enough but better than nothing. So basically we paid to stay in the resort to stay in the blankets in the living area. We would have better stayed home for our long weekend.
The property is old. Beds are not very good. And the they don’t have heater in all rooms.
Overall ok not very good.
Great view from the jacuzzi and spacious suite. Pool looks to be under construction. Nice management and amenities such as washer/dryer.
Good location in town and near beach. Older property with a kitchenette and handy laundry. Decor and amenities need updating.
Great place to be for relaxation and weekend getaway
