Starting from 13 October 2025, essential upgrade works to replace one of our two guest elevators will commence. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing guest comfort and safety.
During this period, one elevator will be unavailable, and guests may experience noise during standard work hours (9am – 5:30pm). The works are expected to continue for approximately 2 to 3 months.
From 2 February 2026 for approximately three months, we will be installing a brand-new guest elevator. Some noise may occur during working hours on weekdays between 8:30am and 5:30pm. We will do everything possible to minimize disruption during this time.

I lived in Tauranga for a decade and left recently, but Armitage wasn’t really on my radar. It is an older build hotel but the interior design is pretty good, a very pleasant room. Back to visit family. The central location was excellent and the room was very quiet.
Most of the staff were really nice but one in particular was a bit off. I think they’re aiming for an above average experience and front of house was not there in this (singular) experience.

Toilet didnt flush took multiple attempts, shower had no pressure and took 10min to heat up, did not get informed of all of the construction or disruption until after I had booked and paid the non refundable cost as the only fare available only stayed 1 night paid for 3
