Starting from 13 October 2025, essential upgrade works to replace one of our two guest elevators will commence. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing guest comfort and safety.
During this period, one elevator will be unavailable, and guests may experience noise during standard work hours (9am – 5:30pm). The works are expected to continue for approximately 2 to 3 months.
From 2 February 2026 for approximately three months, we will be installing a brand-new guest elevator. Some noise may occur during working hours on weekdays between 8:30am and 5:30pm. We will do everything possible to minimize disruption during this time.

Camera e bagno molto grandi. Possibilità di cenare in hotel. Letto molto comodo. Non ho usufruito della piscina e mi è stato offerto uno sconto del 50% su una bevanda per via dei lavori.
Orari colazione molto stretti, solo dalle 7.00 alle 9.00 e poche scelte. Ho chiesto un espresso a colazione dopo aver pagato, hotel, cena e colazione … mi é stato chiesto di pagarlo. Non é per la cifra ma é per la mancanza di attenzione verso le cose piccole. Assegnata camera lati lavori in corso per cui sveglia presto la mattina “obbligatoria”. Notte andato a letto presto ma causa ragazzi argentini rumorosi addormentato tardi.
We are bitterly disappointed. The tragedy that happened affected our stay we could not get through because of the state of emergency. The in human aspect of the situation we found ourselves in is terrible. I understand it was a non refundable booking but surely one human to another you could show some compassion in a difficult situation. Not only that with emergency services the hotel was booked to capacity so they profited on this miserable situation.
Everything. Not in a thousand years would we ever stay here. NZ ownership would never treat other NZs like this.
The location was ideal for our visit , plenty of parking , check in staff member was good. Room pleasant . Comfortable bed . clean & serviced.
first impressions drive up to front of Hotel to see orange cones outside main entrance. Plywood sheets on floor in lobby renovations to lift area. Stapled white skirt around check in desk ?? Pool very tired, need of clean & padlocked , so no access?? Executive Room (Willow Street side) no noise insulation & tired latches on slider or windows - traffic noise noticeable. RCD tripped & dropped power in bathroom & half the suite, reset not working.
It’s well positioned, has good parking, has been refurbished successfully and comfortable.
There wasn’t an extra blanket in the wardrobe although awe were given one when we asked for it by the cleaning staff who were working near our room.
Clean rooms, good quiet atmosphere.

Very tired, being renovated but very basic decor and with not a lot of style, reception staff not that helpful. Lift not working, room looked out over rusty roof. No sky tv. Uncomfortable chairs in room

We chose this place, as it was one of the closest accommodations to where we wanted to go. It was really convenient. They have a nice large carpark. The rooms were nicely renovated.
We went out for dinner anyway, but their bar didn't have decent food and very expensive.
Room was nice
Cheap Pillows gave us sore necks. Shower over bath, inadequate shower water pressure, inadequate fan in bathroom. Pool area very disappointing. Pool needs upgrade to look like your marketing. Restaurant very disappointing. Food was less than average and served cold and limited choice. Bar closed at 9pm! Too early.

When booking the Armitage advertises bar and restaurant in its facilities. It was not mentioned that the bar was only open for a specific time on Sunday (5pm-10pm) and the restaurant was closed. There was a limited menu available in the bar.
